Hoa Binh plans to merge 46 communes and wards

NDO - On April 17, the Conference of the Party Executive Committee of Hoa Binh province agreed on the policy of rearranging and merging commune-level administrative units. Accordingly, it was agreed to reorganize and merge 151 commune-level administrative units to 46 commune-level administrative units under the province (including 42 communes and 4 wards). Reducing 105 communes, wards and towns, equivalent to 69.5%.

At the conference, Secretary of the Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phi Long requested that Party committees, Party organizations, and heads of units, based on the resolution on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units, continue to focus on propagating the policy of merging commune-level administrative units, creating consensus among the people.

At the same time, conduct a comprehensive assessment of the quality of commune-level cadres and develop a plan to arrange the newly formed commune-level cadre team. Review, arrange, and assign working headquarters for new communes belonging to 3 groups: Party group, government group, Fatherland Front group and mass organizations.

Direct the People's Committees of districts and cities to review the management of public assets. At the same time, encourage the spirit of cadres and party members to focus on completing political tasks well; stay close to the grassroots, promptly resolve work.

New communes are formed on the basis of conformity with the provincial planning, with the planning of districts and cities; with the practical situation of localities and opening up new development conditions for communes. The arrangement for each locality will create consensus among party members and people.

  • Hoa Binh City: Reorganize from 19 commune and ward level administrative units to 5 new commune and ward level administrative units including: Thong Nhat ward, Ky Son ward, Hoa Binh ward; Tan Hoa ward and Thinh Minh commune.
  • Cao Phong District: Reorganize from 10 commune-level administrative units to 3 new commune-level administrative units including: Cao Phong commune, Muong Thanh commune, Thung Nai commune.
  • Lac Thuy District: Reorganize from 10 commune-level administrative units to 3 new commune-level administrative units including: Lac Thuy commune, An Nghia commune, An Binh commune.
  • Yen Thuy District: Reorganize from 11 commune-level administrative units to 3 new commune-level administrative units including: Yen Thuy commune, Yen Tri commune, Lac Luong commune.
  • Luong Son District: Reorganize from 11 commune-level administrative units to 3 new commune-level administrative units including: Luong Son commune, Lien Son commune, Cao Duong commune.
  • Mai Chau District: Reorganize from 16 commune-level administrative units to 5 new commune-level administrative units including: Pa Co commune, Bao La commune, Mai Ha commune, Mai Chau commune, Tan Mai commune.
  • Tan Lac District: Reorganize from 16 commune-level administrative units to 5 new commune-level administrative units including: Tan Lac commune, Muong Bi commune, Muong Hoa commune, Toan Thang commune, Van Son commune.
  • Kim Boi District: Reorganize from 17 commune-level administrative units to 5 new commune-level administrative units including: Muong Dong commune, Nat Son commune, Hop Kim commune, Dung Tien commune, Kim Boi commune.
  • Lac Son District: Reorganize from 24 commune-level administrative units to 8 new commune-level administrative units including: Ngoc Son commune, Quyet Thang commune, Thuong Coc commune, Lac Son commune, Dai Dong commune, Yen Phu commune, Muong Vang commune, Nhan Nghia commune.
  • Da Bac District: Reorganize from 17 commune-level administrative units to 6 new commune-level administrative units including: Da Bac commune, Tien Phong commune, Cao Son commune, Tan Pheo commune, Duc Nhan commune, Quy Duc commune.
