Over the years of implementation, the program to support high-quality journalism has created a widespread influence among all levels of the Journalists Association, becoming a useful annual professional activity for all members of the Vietnam Journalists Association. All levels of the Association have more conditions and motivation to gather, unite, and encourage members to enthusiastically create. Thanks to the annual financial support, the Provincial and Municipal Journalists Associations, the Inter-Associations, and the Journalists Associations have opened many professional training courses, many seminars, workshops, and practical work experiences.
“The movement to improve professional qualifications has ignited and maintained the passion for the profession and the love for work among journalists. The work of supporting high-quality journalism has created consensus and competition among journalists, creating works of depth that clearly reflect all aspects of social life. Many articles are rich in fighting spirit, education, and political ideology, contributing to the stability and development of society, thereby more clearly affirming the role, responsibility and civic duty of writers. From the support fund, high-quality journalism works have won many local journalism awards, journalism awards of ministries, branches, organizations, and especially the National Journalism Award,” said journalist Nguyen Duc Loi.
According to journalist Nguyen Duc Loi, one of the main requirements of the High-Quality Journalism Support Program is to create resources for the National Journalism Awards. To meet this requirement, in 2024-2025, the implementation of high-quality journalism at all levels of the Association needs to change right from the stage of topic orientation, outline review, and author support to be able to produce modern digital journalism works that are more suitable to the needs.
This also requires the Association at all levels to closely coordinate with press agencies, widely disseminate and disseminate to journalists - members, develop training programs to improve qualifications, motivate and encourage members of the Vietnam Journalists Association to actively learn and grasp modern journalism technologies, and participate more strongly in digital platforms.

According to the preliminary report of the Vietnam Journalists Association, in 3 years (from 2021 to 2023), the state budget supported the creation of high-quality journalistic works for local Journalists Associations nationwide with 27.7 billion VND; directly supported over 4,000 authors who are members of the Vietnam Journalists Association in localities; received 4,263 high-quality journalistic works of various types.

Journalists' Associations at all levels, press agencies and journalists nationwide all have a common wish that the State allow the continued implementation and expansion of the High-Quality Press Support Program to the 2026-2030 period with a budget increase of at least 200% to meet new requirements; add a specific mechanism to directly support journalists working in natural disaster and epidemic areas, strategic areas of security and defense, and allow the establishment of a Young Journalist Talent Development Fund from support funds, focusing on training the next generation of journalists.
