Supporting people in Ban Sen island commune, Van Don district to overcome consequences after storms

The delegation came to share, encourage and give a total of 275 gifts (including 150 gifts from the Vietnam Journalists Association and the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association to 150 households). Along with the gifts, the volunteer group gave 55 million VND in cash to households to overcome difficulties after storm No. 3.

In addition, some resident reporters of press agencies in Quang Ninh also mobilized benefactors to provide material support to families in difficulty. The total value of money and gifts is 170 million VND.

At the gift-giving ceremony, representative of the delegation, journalist Do Ngoc Ha, Permanent Vice President of the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association, expressed sympathy, shared the difficulties, encouraged the affected families and hoped that everyone would unite, promote self-reliance, and strive to overcome difficulties.

He also hopes that in the coming time, the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association will continue to be a bridge for officials, members, journalists, and philanthropists inside and outside the province to carry out many activities to support people and communities to effectively overcome the consequences of floods.

Receiving both material and spiritual encouragement from the delegation, the local government as well as the people of Ban Sen commune were moved and expressed their deep gratitude to the benefactors who cared for the remote islanders in times of trouble. This is a great source of encouragement for the people to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
