Green economic development is always an important task that the Party and Government pay special attention to. However, according to experts, to develop a green economy effectively, there needs to be more preferential policies for businesses.

Businesses face many difficulties
In Vietnam, businesses have been strongly participating in the goal of green growth. More and more vehicles are appearing on the streets of Hanoi. traffic use clean energy such as electric motorbikes, electric buses, electric cars. The two elevated railway lines Cat Linh - Ha Dong, Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station put into commercial operation are clear evidence of the national effort to promote green transportation.
However, according to many businesses and investor In this field, despite receiving attention from the Government, they still encounter many difficulties in accessing the market and problems with policy mechanisms.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Phuoc Nguyen - CEO of Selex Motors - said: "The biggest difficulty that businesses face comes from policy. Although the State has issued very strong policies, there is a lack of specific and attractive policies to create a "strong push" for green transformation.
Compared to other countries in the Southeast Asian region, Vietnam has a slower adaptation and transformation process. The international incentives for Vietnam are large, but Vietnam does not have a mechanism to "absorb" them.

Opening the way for green economic development
According to Dr. Ha Huy Ngoc - Vietnam Economic Institute, to realize the aspiration and commitment to green transformation, the participation of all ministries, departments and branches is required.
“Currently, the issue of green economy is still facing many difficulties due to overlapping legal documents. The Government, ministries, departments and sectors are actively participating in reviewing the contradictions and inconsistencies in the documents to create the best conditions for businesses, especially those leading the way in green economic transformation,” said Dr. Ha Huy Ngoc.
Giving advice to businesses that are making a green transition, Dr. Ngoc said: “Our country is about to issue a green classification system for economic sectors. Once completed, the government will continue to strengthen support solutions, such as increasing green credit sources for leading businesses, reducing taxes and fees... Therefore, investors should not be discouraged, but should stay calm and wait for favorable conditions to promote development.”
Speaking to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, Associate Professor Dr. Le Bo Linh - former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment - said that in order to build a green economy in a synchronous and highly effective manner, it is necessary to carry out the transformation seriously and with a roadmap. In particular, the transformation in key areas should be prioritized.
“First, focus on transforming the energy structure, shifting from mainly using fossil energy to sustainable energy and renewable energy. Second, it is necessary to carry out economic restructuring, focusing on industries that apply new technology, energy-saving technology, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Third, it is necessary to focus on green transformation in transportation because this is a field that causes environmental pollution and large emissions,” said Associate Professor, Dr. Le Bo Linh.
