Support 1,242 union members and workers affected by storm No. 3

On October 23, Ms. Pham Thi Thang - Vice President of the Thai Binh Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) said that according to the statistics compiled by the provincial Federation of Labor, during the recent storm No. 3, about 1,168 union members and workers were temporarily off work because businesses stopped production to repair damaged factories and 73 workers had their roofs blown off and needed to be repaired, one union member was seriously injured and had to be hospitalized.

Faced with the above situation, the Trade Unions at all levels in the province visited, encouraged and gave gifts to union members and workers with a total support amount of nearly 800 million VND.

Previously, leaders of the Thai Binh Provincial Federation of Labor also went to Hoa Cuong Infrastructure Construction and Materials Company Limited, Quynh Phu District to present gifts to 36 union members and workers who had to stop working for more than 14 days to help the company overcome the consequences caused by storm No. 3.

In Vu Thu district, the district's Labor Federation also presented 15 million VND to 7 union members and workers whose houses were damaged or lost their roofs and were injured and treated at hospitals; and 6.5 million VND to 13 union members and workers whose properties were damaged by the storm belonging to grassroots unions in the province. In addition, on the occasion of presenting gifts to union members and workers affected by storm No. 3 in Quynh Phu district, the National Assembly Delegation of Thai Binh province presented 100 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances in the district.
