Buon Kuop Hydropower Company said that in recent days, the water flow from the upstream of the Serepok River to Buon Tua Srah Lake has been large, but has been cut off at the lake so it has not affected the downstream.
Specifically, in recent days, in the Serepok River basin in general and Buon Tua Srah reservoir in particular, there has been moderate to heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain, causing the flow to the reservoir to increase very high, leading to a significant increase in the water level of the reservoir.
The flood has formed with a peak of about 650 - 700 m3 /s. However, the available flood capacity of the lake is large, so the lake will cut off this flood, only discharging it downstream with normal flow, without affecting the downstream area.
The Company is monitoring and updating reservoir operating parameters every 15 minutes and providing forecast bulletins every 3 hours according to the regulations of the Inter-reservoir Operation Procedure.
