Ho Ngoc Ha, Huy Tuan, Truc Nhan are judges of the music program "Talent Rendezvous"

With the strong development of the cultural industry and especially the music entertainment industry, plus the clear change in the reception habits of modern audiences, VTV organizes a new music competition, more suitable with contemporary television trends.

At the press conference to launch the program on April 24 in Hanoi, Permanent Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television Do Thanh Hai emphasized that this is an expected program after the success of “Sao Mai” and “Sao Mai Diem Hen”. The crew has built a completely new program format to both find talent and create an attractive television program, in line with artistic trends and meet audience needs.

Regarding the difference between “Talent Rendezvous” and previous VTV music programs and competitions, Head of the Arts Department Nguyen Vong Ngan said that the program hopes to create a generation of versatile singers, in line with contemporary music trends, balancing professional and entertainment factors. Not only focusing on finding good voices, the program also cares about the contestants’ performance ability and creates a creative space for them to have the opportunity to shine their talents.

Therefore, according to Mr. Nguyen Vong Ngan, the criteria for selecting contestants are based on vocal technique, versatility to be able to perform different musical styles, expressive ability, conveying emotions, performance skills, stage mastery skills... The program also hopes to create an inspiring and sublime musical journey.

The factor that guarantees the attraction of “Talent Rendezvous” is the jury consisting of 3 prominent faces in the Vietnamese music industry: Ho Ngoc Ha - a singer with over 20 years of experience, a symbol of innovation in Vietnamese music; Huy Tuan - a prestigious musician and music producer, capable of discovering and developing talents; Truc Nhan - stands out with his unique performance style, promising to bring a “new breeze” to the program.

In particular, the music director of “Talent Rendezvous” is musician Ho Hoai Anh – “music wizard”, who will bring a lot of passion and creativity to this comeback.

According to the Organizing Committee, the program will have a casting part recorded and posted on VTV's digital platforms; 4 recorded and broadcast competition nights; a live TV competition night; 1 live TV gala night (expected). The program will be hosted by familiar faces to TV audiences: MC "talented" Anh Tuan and "beautiful sister" Thuy Linh.

At the press conference, the Organizing Committee also announced and introduced the top 12 official contestants of “Talent Rendezvous”: Nguyen Hoang Bao Ngoc, Nguyen Hoang Minh Khoi, Nguyen Thanh Thuy, Pham Ha Hanh Huyen, Chung Pham Ngoc Yen, Nguyen Ngoc Ni Ni, Bui Thi Thanh Thuy, Le Quang Huy, Do Minh Chau, Nguyen Quang Anh, Vo Hoai Anh, Nguyen Thi Mai Chi.

Excited about her return as a judge on VTV's music program, singer Ho Ngoc Ha has high expectations and gives advice to the contestants, that in addition to focusing on voice, songs, and performance style, each person must be a strategist for their own path and career.

“Talent Rendezvous” will air at 8:15 p.m. every Sunday on VTV3, starting from May 4.
