With a passion for traveling, Dao Xuan Mai (21 years old) carefully planned a journey of more than 1,500 km (round trip) with friends who shared the same passion. Mai experienced the route Ho Chi Minh City - Da Lat - Nha Trang - Phu Yen - Quang Nam in 5 days and 4 nights by motorbike.
Forge character from experience
Traveling gives Mai the opportunity to experience the beauty of nature, which in turn deepens her love for Vietnamese people and culture. The days of wandering provide Mai with valuable lessons in organizing, arranging her life, and connecting with people.
Mai will always remember her trip to Mui Dien, Phu Yen, the easternmost point of the country. Watching the red sunset made Mai happy. Not only did Mai enjoy every moment to the fullest, she also meticulously kept the memories along the way.

For Le Trieu Nguyen (a second-year student at the University of Economics and Finance, Ho Chi Minh City), the goal this summer continues to be to serve the community. Nguyen is one of the soldiers participating in the 2024 Summer Volunteer Campaign of Ho Chi Minh City. Since high school, he has enthusiastically contributed to the Red Flamboyant Campaign. When he was in university, the young man from Long An actively participated in the faculty's volunteer team. He is also a core member of the organizing committee of the volunteer program "Going to school with you". In addition to being in charge of communications, Nguyen is also responsible for mobilizing sponsorship, calling for donations and even being an event animator when needed. Although he is overwhelmed with unpaid work, he still feels that he "profits a lot" because of the joy of giving and supporting the less fortunate, especially children. "The more we share hardships, the more united the group is. Wearing the green volunteer shirt is a source of pride for me and my friends" - Nguyen expressed. The title "5 Good Students" at the school level recently received is a milestone marking the maturity of this young man.
Get out of your comfort zone
Early next year, Trinh Thi Lan Anh (from Dong Nai) will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Therefore, she is trying to complete her personal profile, ready to apply for suitable jobs as well as full-time internships.

Lan Anh also spends a lot of time improving her English and going to the gym to train her body. Since leaving her family to pursue her studies in the city, Lan Anh has formed the habit of making a general plan for the whole school year with specific goals. Since the summer of her first year, Lan Anh has proactively tried her hand at many academic and scientific research activities. The experience gained from competitions is the premise to help Lan Anh become more confident, thereby convincing some teammates to join the group. They continuously won high prizes when participating in competitions during the summer. The increasingly solid achievements over the summers are not to make her CV look good, creating an advantage when entering the labor market, but for Lan Anh, it is truly a reminder for herself not to be negligent, subjective, but to make more progress.

For Xuan Mai, summer is not only a time to relax after a period of studying and taking exams, but also an ideal time to escape the "safe" zone to explore herself through practical experiences. She said: "I have more life material, update new knowledge and have more friends. I also gradually become more independent in thinking, understanding and sharing." Long trips are also an opportunity for Mai to hone her response skills when encountering incidents. Equipping herself with first aid skills, disease prevention, investing in health, and moving carefully to keep herself and the community safe are initial results.
The charity project "Go to school with me" that Trieu Nguyen devoted much effort to received enthusiastic support from the school. The destination of the project is Ben Tre. Nguyen is always grateful because through such activities rich in human values, he has enriched his soul and acquired essential skills for his future life and work.
