Coach Troussier put Quang Hai in the priority group to compete with the Indonesian team?

Coach Philippe Troussier divided the team into two groups for a practice match on the afternoon of March 25. One group wore white shirts and the other wore blue shirts. Notably, the group of players in blue shirts included many players regularly used by Coach Philippe Troussier.

Midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai is among the players in blue. Previously, he did not play in the first leg.

Quang Hai is ranked in the group of players who regularly play for the Vietnam national team.

Under coach Philippe Troussier, Nguyen Quang Hai often had to sit out important matches. At the 2023 Asian Cup, he did not play in the opening match against Japan. In the second match against Indonesia, the Hanoi Police Club player started but was replaced in the middle of the second half. In the final match against Iraq, Quang Hai continued to sit out before entering the field in the second half.

The remaining players in blue shirts include Ho Tan Tai, Bui Tien Dung, Bui Hoang Viet Anh, Phan Tuan Tai, Khuat Van Khang, Vu Van Thanh, Nguyen Thai Son, Le Pham Thanh Long, Nguyen Tien Linh, Nguyen Hoang Duc, Nguyen Dinh Bac, Vo Minh Trong and Nguyen Van Toan.

Coach Troussier divided the team into two opposing groups.

Goalkeeper Nguyen Filip is placed in the same group of players in blue shirts. The goalkeeper of the Hanoi Police Club is considered to have a guaranteed place in the Vietnam national team, because he is rated much higher than his two colleagues Nguyen Dinh Trieu and Nguyen Van Viet.

This is the last training session of the Vietnamese team before the competition. This session is only open to the media for 15 minutes. Previously, Coach Troussier closed the doors for two training sessions on March 23 and 24.

Coach Troussier said that the players are all in good spirits and ready for the upcoming match. He said: " Currently, the players are all ready to enter the field. I have 15-16 players ready to compete for a place in the starting lineup of the Vietnam team. In addition, I have strategic reserve players to change the situation. The players need to maintain high intensity throughout the match, ensuring physical strength for pressing. I believe they will do it ."

The match between Vietnam and Indonesia will take place at 7pm tomorrow, March 26, at My Dinh Stadium (Hanoi).
