Coach Le Huynh Duc is helping the strikers regain their scoring form.

Former number 1 striker of Vietnamese football, Le Huynh Duc, in his role as coach of Binh Duong Club, is helping strikers Tien Linh, Viet Cuong and Vi Hao recover their form.

Just a few months ago, Tien Linh’s performance was something that made domestic football fans worried. This player did not play clearly for both Binh Duong Club and the Vietnam national team.

Coach Le Huynh Duc himself announced a few weeks ago that he would let Tien Linh sit on the bench at Binh Duong, only entering the field in the second half of matches.

The reason is that Tien Linh's physical strength is not yet guaranteed and coach Huynh Duc also wants Tien Linh and Hai Huy to each play one half to regulate the play of the Southeast team.

Coach Le Huynh Duc's decision may have made Nguyen Tien Linh unhappy at that time, but that decision helped Tien Linh play harder. Tien Linh needs to prove himself worthy of being a star by scoring goals for Binh Duong Club.

Now Tien Linh has scored goals, in both the National Cup and the V-League. Those are all goals that show the sharpness and ability to choose a good position of this center forward. First, Tien Linh appeared at the right time to receive a pass from Viet Cuong, tapping the ball close to the goal into the net of Ho Chi Minh City Club in the National Cup.

Then came the situation of choosing the right landing point, defeating the foreign center back of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club in an "air battle", scoring a tricky header into the net of the mountain town team in V-League 2023/24. This match took place last weekend.

Coach Huynh Duc himself was previously a famous and top quality striker in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, he understands the psychology of a striker.

In addition, as a coach, Huynh Duc also has enough knowledge to convey to his students about choosing positions and moving without the ball to find scoring opportunities.

While Tien Linh has not returned to his official position in Binh Duong, the domestic striker position of the Southeast team belongs to former U23 national player Nguyen Tran Viet Cuong. This player has also scored a goal for Binh Duong in the V-League, along with many other contributions to the team.

In the context of Cong Phuong's declining form and not playing regularly at Yokohama FC (Japan), Nguyen Van Tung and Nham Manh Dung's form is also unstable, Viet Cuong will be the choice for coach Troussier in the Vietnam national team.

Viet Cuong could be a breath of fresh air at the national team level if coach Philippe Troussier wants to refresh the Vietnamese team.

Even behind Nguyen Tien Linh and Nguyen Tran Viet Cuong, coach Le Huynh Duc has another striker right in Binh Duong, that is striker Bui Vi Hao. This player is only 20 years old, played well in the U23 Southeast Asia tournament in August, in the U23 Vietnam team led by coach Hoang Anh Tuan.

Bui Vi Hao has also scored a goal in the V-League this season. He, along with his seniors Viet Cuong and Tien Linh, are domestic strikers being trained by coach Le Huynh Duc.
