(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Coach Kim Sang Sik shared his thoughts on Supachok's goal and many stories related to the Vietnamese national team in an interview with Spotvnews (South Korea).

With a radiant smile, coach Kim Sang Sik shared his thoughts on the Vietnamese team's victory: "Winning the AFF Cup 2024 is the result of the entire team's efforts. It wasn't just me and the players; the fans and leaders also contributed to this achievement. Even now, I still can't believe we won."
Speaking about preparations for the 2024 AFF Cup, the South Korean coach shared: "I had prepared plans before this tournament. However, I also told the players that if we don't change, the team will fail. I have analyzed a lot for the players throughout this journey."
Supachok's controversial goal was the subject of intense debate following the 2024 AFF Cup final. Spotvnews asked coach Kim Sang Sik about his feelings after witnessing the Thai player's goal. The South Korean strategist said: "It was an unexpected goal. It shouldn't have been scored."

I am truly grateful for the precious affection of the Vietnamese people. When I took a taxi, the driver refused to accept money. When I went to a cafe, I was also given free coffee."

Speaking about Vietnamese players, the coach born in 1976 said: "Vietnamese players have pretty good physical fitness. Even if you apply the training program in South Korea, they can still keep up."
We trained in South Korea in freezing conditions. However, after completing the training camp, none of the players caught a cold. The players are much stronger than I thought."
Finally, coach Kim Sang Sik emphasized the Vietnamese national team's goal of qualifying for the 2030 World Cup. He said: "I believe that if we perform well in the coming time, we will continue to become stronger. The Vietnamese national team will do its best to bring joy to Vietnamese fans."
Our dream is to qualify for the 2030 World Cup. The whole team will do their best to make that dream a reality. To go further, the Vietnamese national team needs a good youth training system and should actively naturalize players from abroad to suit the times."
