At the press conference in Group D within the framework of the 2023 AFC U17 Finals taking place this morning (June 16), Coach Hoang Anh Tuan affirmed that Vietnam U17 respects all opponents.

At the beginning of the press conference, coach Hoang Anh Tuan said: "After a period of interruption due to Covid-19, the tournaments have returned. However, the U17 Vietnam players do not have much time to practice together. We have a month to prepare.
We are delighted that the team has qualified for the finals as group winners.
In this final round, we have to face very strong opponents in the group stage such as Japan, Uzbekistan, and India.
Hopefully, U17 Vietnam will play well".
When asked about the goal at the 2023 AFC U17 Finals, the coach from Khanh Hoa said that Vietnam U17 has 3 matches in the group stage and if they continue, they hope to reach the final.

Regarding the opening match against U17 India tomorrow (June 17), the captain of U17 Vietnam is very cautious, he said: "This match is very important. I have respect for the teams, including India.
For me, there is no pressure. The more fans come to the stadium, the more comfortable I feel. Of course, for young players, the psychological development is not an easy story. But I understand my students.
I hope that the more spectators come, the better U17 Vietnam will play."
The 2023 AFC U17 Championship Finals will take place from June 15 to July 2 in Thailand. Vietnam U17 is in Group D with Japan, India, and Uzbekistan.
The teams compete in a round robin format. The top two teams in each group advance to the quarter-finals. The four semi-finalists qualify for the U17 World Cup.
According to the match schedule, U17 Vietnam will have their opening match against U17 India at 7pm on June 17; then, they will meet U17 Japan (5pm, June 20) and U17 Uzbekistan (7pm, June 23).
