The Nhat Le 3 Bridge project and the roads at both ends of the bridge were started in early 2023 with a total investment of 1,300 billion VND from the central budget. The project has a total length of more than 2.8km; of which the bridge length is 561.4m, the approach road to the bridge is 2.2km long, the roadbed width is from 23.5 to 54.5m, with 4 lanes.

When completed, Nhat Le 3 Bridge promises to create an important highlight for Dong Hoi tourist city and complete the picture of transport infrastructure development and socio-economic development of Quang Binh province.

Engineer Tran Khac Luat - Director of the Nhat Le 3 Bridge Project Management Board of Dat Phuong Group Joint Stock Company - the project implementation unit said: "Nhat Le 3 Bridge is built with the first self-compacting concrete steel arch structure in Vietnam, using permanent concrete made of steel and prestressed reinforced concrete, the main bridge structure is an arch bridge, the approach bridge structure is a simple span. Currently, the project progress has reached more than 70% of the contract value."

To ensure progress, the project implementation unit mobilized more than 120 workers and engineers every day to build the bridge deck.

According to the representative of the Project Management Board of Component 2 - Nhat Le 3 Bridge and the roads at both ends of the bridge (project investor), Nhat Le 3 Bridge was chosen as a project to celebrate the 18th Quang Binh Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, so completing the project on schedule is extremely important. The investor has focused on removing existing site clearance problems so that the project can reach the finish line soon.

The construction of the river crossing was difficult, the project implementation unit had to use large barges and 90m high cranes with a load capacity of 300 tons in the bridge construction.

The road at the beginning of the bridge, the West connects with National Highway 1A in Quang Ninh district and the East connects with the coastal road in Bao Ninh commune (Dong Hoi city).
