(NLDO) - General Secretary To Lam attended and delivered a speech at the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.
On the morning of December 12, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of its traditional day (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and receive the First Class Independence Medal.

General Secretary To Lam, Secretary of the Central Military Commission; President Luong Cuong; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and many other leaders and former leaders of the Party and State attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, on behalf of the General Department's leadership, delivered a commemorative speech. Following that, General Secretary To Lam, Secretary of the Central Military Commission, awarded the First Class Independence Medal to the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army and delivered an important speech.

Before the ceremony, the delegation of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army led by Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, offered flowers, visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and laid wreaths and incense in memory of the heroic martyrs at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs (Bac Son Street, Hanoi).
