Also in 2025, the FAT President wants to invite Vietnam to participate in the annual King's Cup tournament. This is one of the oldest tournaments in Thailand. The Vietnamese national team previously participated in the 2019 King's Cup and defeated Thailand 1-0 in the semi-finals with the only goal scored by Anh Duc.
However, the team lost to Curacao on penalties in the final and finished as runners-up. Coach Kim Sang-sik's team did not participate in the 2024 King's Cup.
Madam Pang, born in 1966, is one of Thailand's most famous billionaires, active in the insurance industry and serving as the president of the Football Association of Thailand (FAT).
She has repeatedly left a positive impression on Vietnamese fans and supporters with her meaningful actions (such as supporting Nguyen Xuan Son after the second leg of the ASEAN Cup 2024 final) and friendly gestures like shaking hands and bowing to the audience.
