Before boarding the plane with the Vietnamese women's team to Germany to train in preparation for the 2023 World Cup, the simple image of coach Mai Duc Chung created precious emotions.
Although he is over 70 years old, Coach Mai Duc Chung's dedication and passion make many people admire him. Before boarding the plane to Germany for training, Mr. Chung took the opportunity to eat a package of sticky rice, creating a very touching image.
This trip to Europe of the Vietnamese women's team lasts 3 weeks from June 5 to June 21 in Frankfurt (Germany) and Warsaw (Poland).
During their stay in Germany, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will have three friendly matches with quality “blue troops” including: Eintracht Frankfurt (June 10) and Short Mainz (June 15) at Am Sommerdamm Stadium. The highlight of the training session will be a friendly match with the German women's team at 6:15 p.m. (local time) on June 24 at Stadion am Bieberer Berg.
Between matches in Germany, on June 17, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team traveled to Warsaw (Poland) to practice and play a friendly match with the Polish U23 women's team on June 19.
After the above training trip, the Vietnamese women's team will travel to New Zealand to participate in the World Cup. According to the match schedule, Huynh Nhu and her teammates will meet the US (8:00 a.m. Vietnam time, July 22), then Portugal (2:30 p.m. July 27) and the Netherlands (2:00 p.m. August 1).
