Positive effects from the competition

After nearly six months of launching the quiz competition "Learning about historical landmarks, figures, and directives and resolutions of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee in 2023," it has contributed to creating important spiritual motivation for the Party Committee, government, and people to strive to successfully implement the Party's resolutions and resolutely build a more developed Binh Thuan province.

The quiz competition "Learning about historical landmarks, figures, and directives and resolutions of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee in 2023," launched by the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department from February 3, 2023, to July 23, 2023, consisted of 12 rounds (one round every two weeks). Over nearly six months, the competition spread widely, attracting nearly 115,000 entries both within and outside the province. Contestant Nguyen Thi Bich Loan, a teacher at Lac Dao Kindergarten in Phan Thiet City, said that this was a very meaningful competition, so she took advantage of her time after teaching to participate. With her basic historical knowledge and research into the province's socio-economic documents, directives, and information, contestant Bich Loan's multiple-choice test was of high quality and won a top prize in the 8th competition. Besides the enthusiastic participation of officials, Party members, armed forces personnel, students, and people from all walks of life in the province, the competition also attracted many contestants from provinces and cities nationwide, such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Binh , Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Vinh Long, and Soc Trang... At the conclusion of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 12 first prizes; 12 second prizes; 12 third prizes; and 24 consolation prizes to the winning individuals, along with certificates and cash prizes.

Comrade Vo Thanh Binh – Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, and Head of the Organizing Committee of the competition – stated: This year's competition has had a wide reach, with a significantly higher number of participants and better results compared to last year. The reduced number of exam sessions, combined with the extended duration, allowed participants more time to research materials, prepare answers, and prepare supplementary questions. Furthermore, the question format has changed compared to last year; the exam questions are rich, diverse, and do not overlap with previous years, providing participants with new and engaging knowledge. The competition is a broad political activity, a practical way to disseminate information about Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought among cadres, Party members, civil servants, union members, association members, and the people, especially the younger generation. This includes information on landmarks and historical figures in Binh Thuan province, as well as resolutions and directives of the Provincial Party Committee implementing the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress of Binh Thuan (2020-2025 term). Through this, cadres, Party members, civil servants, public employees, union members, association members, and the people will grasp the core content and gain a deeper understanding of the Party's guidelines and policies, contributing to strengthening the people's trust in the Party's leadership and the State's management and administration.

According to Vo Thanh Binh, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, based on the results of the 2023 competition, it is expected that in the following years, especially in 2025, a year with major national and Binh Thuan province anniversaries, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department will organize a competition to learn about Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thought, and the history of the local Party Committee in a suitable and practical form. This will contribute to enhancing political acumen, ideological stance, and unwavering commitment to the goal of national independence linked with socialism; affirming the correct leadership of the Party in the national revolutionary cause; consolidating the people's trust in the Party's leadership and the State's management and administration; and creating momentum to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress.
