Regarding the article "Kindergarten teacher cries when meeting district chairman" , on October 19, speaking with Thanh Nien Newspaper reporter, the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Chau Duc District (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) said that Ms. Phan Thi Han Hue, Principal of Anh Duong Kindergarten (Ngai Giao Town), had submitted a resignation letter.

According to the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Chau Duc District, because Ms. Hue's resignation request was sent while the District Inspectorate was conducting a comprehensive inspection of Anh Duong Kindergarten, it was not resolved.

"According to regulations, only after the inspection results are available and Ms. Hue has corrected the shortcomings according to the inspector's recommendations can her resignation application be processed," added the leader of the Chau Duc District Department of Education and Training.

Previously, on October 18, Chau Duc District Inspectorate organized the announcement of the inspection conclusion for Anh Duong Kindergarten. The conclusion pointed out the shortcomings at this school and recommended that the Chairman of the District People's Committee handle the responsibility of Ms. Phan Thi Han Hue and related individuals.

At the meeting, teachers and workers cried and accused Ms. Phan Thi Han Hue of not only "cutting" teachers' lunches but also reducing the food portions of preschool children; the principal forced workers to clean the school yard, work as construction workers...

Teachers and workers of Anh Duong Kindergarten requested the Chairman of Chau Duc District People's Committee to take action against the principal, otherwise all teachers would like to transfer schools.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Chau Duc District, on behalf of the district, apologized to the teachers and workers of Anh Duong Kindergarten and accepted responsibility for the above incident. Afterwards, the People's Committee of Chau Duc District assigned the District Inspectorate to establish a team to conduct a comprehensive inspection of Anh Duong Kindergarten.

Regarding this incident, on October 7, at the 22nd Conference of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, Secretary of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee Pham Viet Thanh directed the authorities to quickly clarify, strictly and decisively handle the violations occurring at Anh Duong Kindergarten.

On October 10, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province requested the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Health and the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to be responsible for implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, in which attention should be paid to comprehensively rectify the entire education sector regarding the implementation of boarding work for schools, ensuring food safety and hygiene and the quality of boarding meals for students and teachers, especially primary schools and kindergartens with boarding schools.
