Through various forms of social monitoring and criticism, as well as promoting the role of the People's Inspection Committee and the Community Investment Monitoring Committee at the grassroots level, the Fatherland Front at all levels in Bac Kan province has contributed to working with local Party committees and authorities to effectively implement policies in the province and protect the legitimate rights and interests of the people.

According to Ms. Do Thi Minh Hoa, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Kan province, the supervision work of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the province ensured quality and effective implementation in 2024. Specifically, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels chaired 165 supervision activities, including 3 at the provincial level. Following the supervision, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels sent recommendations to Party committees, authorities, supervised entities, and relevant sectors to direct the resolution of the Front's recommendations. In addition to supervision, during the year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Bac Kan province organized 10 social critique workshops and participated in providing feedback on 71 documents; the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the district and commune levels organized conferences to provide feedback on more than 340 draft documents. The feedback and social criticism from the Fatherland Front have been received, explained, and clarified by the drafting agency, contributing to the development and improvement of policies and mechanisms in the province, ensuring their feasibility.
Emphasizing the role of the People's Inspection Committee and the Community Investment Monitoring Committee in monitoring activities, the People's Inspection Committees of the communes conducted 342 monitoring sessions, and the Community Investment Monitoring Committees conducted 334 monitoring sessions this year. The focus was on monitoring the construction of transportation infrastructure in residential areas, and the construction and repair of village and neighborhood cultural centers. For example, in Thanh Thinh commune (Cho Moi district), through monitoring, the contributions of the Community Investment Monitoring Committees aimed at identifying shortcomings and limitations that needed to be addressed in the construction of projects in the district, resulting in effectiveness and ensuring the suitability and benefits for the people. Mr. Trieu Van Hung - Head of the Front Committee and Deputy Head of the Community Investment Monitoring Committee of Na Giao village, said that the members of the Community Investment Monitoring Committee are highly qualified and knowledgeable about construction, which greatly facilitates the monitoring of construction projects.
Also in 2024, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Kan province organized a conference to summarize the "Community Monitoring" model in the implementation of the National Target Program for New Rural Development. Accordingly, 10 "Community Monitoring" models were established in 10 communes in the districts of Ba Be, Na Ri, Bach Thong, Cho Moi, and Cho Don. After implementation, the activities of these "Community Monitoring" models have yielded practical results, contributing to limiting negative practices at the grassroots level, ensuring transparency in the management of state capital and assets in community investment projects in the locality, building trust among the people, and preventing complaints and denunciations from arising during implementation, thus contributing to maintaining stability in the locality. Issues and shortcomings in construction were identified and promptly addressed upon feedback.
Building on the achievements in supervision work, in the coming time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in Bac Kan province will continue to pay attention to and direct community supervision activities, guiding the Community Investment Supervision Board to develop a comprehensive supervision plan to maximize its role in economic and social development investment programs and projects for ethnic minority areas in the province.
