Bai Tranh Commune, Nhu Xuan District, has been identified as a complex area in terms of security and order (SOT) with many cases of property theft, public disorder, injuries, etc. In 2022, the Commune Police proactively advised on implementing the model "Security cameras with SOT assurance". The model has been effective, helping the authorities promptly detect, prevent, and combat all types of crimes and law violations, contributing to maintaining SOT in the locality.

Major Le Xuan Thanh, Chief of Bai Tranh Commune Police, said: Implementing the model of "Security Cameras for Ensuring Security and Order" launched by the Provincial Police and District Police, the Commune Police proactively advised the Party Committee and the Commune People's Committee to issue Resolutions and plans and quickly deployed the installation of "Security Cameras" systems on main roads in the entire commune and intersections on inter-village roads.
The commune police, the Fatherland Front, and the commune's mass organizations proactively coordinated with the villages to organize meetings with the people to propagate, explain, and help people understand the meaning and effectiveness of the model "Security cameras with the work of ensuring security and order". Through propaganda and mobilization work, people have understood, trusted, agreed, and joined hands, contributed, and supported the installation of the "Security cameras with the work of ensuring security and order" system at key locations in the commune.

To make the model effective, Bai Tranh Commune Police surveyed and selected routes, studied important locations with complicated security and order issues to install cameras. The camera system is connected to a server located at the Commune Police headquarters.
With the consensus and responsible participation of the people, up to now, Bai Tranh commune has installed 15 security cameras on main roads, hamlets, and alleys.
Through the model, in 2022, Bai Tranh Commune Police coordinated with professional teams of the District Police to investigate and clarify 3 cases of property theft; 5 traffic accidents and many other cases related to security and order. The security camera system has supported the Commune Police to grasp the security and order situation, promptly advise the leaders of the District Police, the Party Committee, and the Commune People's Committee to take measures to stabilize the situation.
Since the model of "Security cameras with security and order assurance" came into operation, the criminal situation in the commune has decreased sharply. In 2022, there were 4 criminal cases, a decrease of 3 cases compared to 2021. On the other hand, when installing security cameras, people's awareness of complying with the Road Traffic Law has been raised, many people are more proactive in maintaining environmental hygiene, not littering, creating a green, clean and beautiful landscape.

However, according to the Chief of Bai Tranh Commune Police: The implementation of the "Security Camera" model in the commune still faces many difficulties, especially convincing and mobilizing people to equip themselves with cameras. Meanwhile, the installation requires using electricity and the internet of households, so the transmission is sometimes unstable, people unplug the power cord when they need to use it for household purposes. Funding to support the maintenance of the camera system is still limited.
To overcome this situation, in the coming time, the Commune Police will continue to proactively advise the Party Committee and People's Committee of Bai Tranh Commune to install 8 more security cameras in key areas. At the same time, strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to install camera systems themselves. Improve the capacity of Commune Police officers in the field of information technology, meeting the requirements of tasks in crime prevention and combat.
