Hanoi Handicraft and Craft Village Association received Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister

On the morning of April 22, at the Center for the Essence of Vietnamese Craft Villages (Bat Trang Commune, Gia Lam District), the Hanoi Handicraft and Craft Village Association held a ceremony to celebrate its 20th anniversary (2005-2025).

At the ceremony, Chairwoman of the Hanoi Handicraft and Craft Village Association Ha Thi Vinh said that exactly 20 years ago, the Hanoi Handicraft and Craft Village Association was established with the mission of connecting, supporting, and promoting the value of traditional craft villages - places that preserve the quintessence of national culture through many generations. From the early days of its establishment with many difficulties, up to now, the Association has become a common home for thousands of members who are artisans, skilled workers, and businessmen dedicated to their profession and national culture.

Over the past two decades of establishment and development, the Hanoi Handicraft and Craft Village Association has organized hundreds of training courses, trade promotion, and domestic and international fairs; supported brand building and intellectual property protection for many craft villages, contributing to preserving and honoring the unique cultural values ​​of the thousand-year-old capital and spreading the quintessence of traditional crafts.

In particular, in the context of integration and digital transformation, the Association constantly innovates its thinking, accompanies craft villages in accessing markets, applying technology, and enhancing the value of Vietnamese handicraft products in the international arena.

The ceremony is an opportunity for the Association to look back on the past journey, and at the same time express gratitude for the great contributions of generations of leaders, members and associates who have accompanied the development of the Association.

In the new period, Hanoi's craft villages are identified as one of the five cultural pillars of the capital and the city has many mechanisms, policies and practical solutions to help the capital's craft villages develop more and more prosperously.

The Anniversary Ceremony is a milestone affirming the spirit of solidarity of craftsmen in craft villages and is also a time for the Association to define goals, arouse aspirations towards a new stage of development, more sustainable, more creative, and more deeply integrated.
