Provincial Business Association 2nd Congress, term 2023

Representatives of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry presented the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do with a commemorative medal for the development of Vietnamese enterprises.

In the 2018 - 2023 term, the Provincial Business Association has united and built an increasingly strong organization, clearly demonstrating its role and position, successfully completing the Resolution and action program. Currently, the Provincial Business Association has 2 affiliated organizations (Provincial Automobile Transport Association, Vietnam Small and Medium Hydropower Association - Dien Bien and Lai Chau Branches) and 135 official members. The business community in the province has made efforts to overcome difficulties, develop production and business, and actively contribute to the implementation of the province's socio-economic development tasks, especially the economic growth and budget revenue targets. The Provincial Business Association has actively coordinated with relevant agencies to implement many activities to support businesses; connect regions, attract development potential, sign emulation agreements with 3 provinces: Son La, Hoa Binh and Lai Chau; sign a cooperation agreement with the Vietnam Business Association in 8 provinces of Northern Laos.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do awarded Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee to enterprises with outstanding achievements in the past term.

Speaking at the Congress, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do acknowledged the results achieved by the Provincial Association of Enterprises in the past term. At the same time, he suggested that after the Congress, the Association should urgently stabilize the organization, review, adjust and supplement the regulations to ensure that its operations are in line with its objectives, creating a united, healthy and close environment; promote propaganda and mobilization work, and develop members. Focus on guiding member enterprises to proactively develop strategies and business organization plans in accordance with practical requirements and socio-economic development orientations of the province. Accompany departments, branches and localities to develop enterprises in the fields of agriculture and rural areas; support the development of small and medium enterprises, cooperatives and digital transformation. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches and localities to be more drastic in implementing tasks on administrative reform, improving administrative discipline and order, performing public duties, promptly resolving difficulties of enterprises; listen, receive opinions, share and accompany businesses.

The Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union for the 2023-2028 term was introduced to the Congress.

The Congress elected the Provincial Business Association Executive Committee consisting of 21 members; Mr. Bui Duc Giang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Trading and Construction Company No. 6, continued to be elected Chairman of the Provincial Business Association for the 2023-2028 term.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 5 individuals; the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry awarded Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do a commemorative medal for the development of Vietnamese enterprises; the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 2 individuals with outstanding achievements in the past term.
