Land clearance of National Highway 14E
Speeding up the progress of site clearance and construction of key projects, including the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 14E through Hiep Duc, is a priority task for the district to focus on and implement vigorously in the first quarter.
Mr. Le Viet Dinh - Director of the Board of Construction Investment and Land Fund Development of Hiep Duc district said that as of April 8, the district had approved 51 compensation plans for damages and site clearance for 1,488 households with a budget of VND 86.09 billion; VND 85.133 billion had been disbursed, reaching 89.6%.
The remaining volume that has not been cleared includes 6 households in Binh Lam commune, 3 households in Que Tho commune, and 23 households in Tan Binh commune. There are 8 new households in Song Tra commune due to design adjustments but there are no problems with construction because there is an agreement with the people.
“Currently, we are focusing on promoting and explaining resettlement policies so that people agree with the plan. In general, the current site basically ensures that investors can implement the project smoothly,” said Mr. Dinh.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Tham - Secretary of the Party Committee of Song Tra commune said that thanks to the handover of 100% of the land, the construction progress of the National Highway 14E project through the area has been accelerated compared to many other localities. Recently, the contractor has focused on human resources and specialized machinery and equipment to pave asphalt concrete, creating favorable travel conditions for people.
“The National Highway 14E project through Song Tra commune is 9.77km long. Up to now, the construction unit has completed paving the section from Thanh Nien bridge to the commune People's Committee for more than 3km and is speeding up the progress of the remaining sections. The sections that have been paved, people are very excited because they see the road is wider and cleaner than before” - Ms. Tham shared.
An executive officer of the project management unit (Project Management Board 4, Vietnam Road Administration) said that taking advantage of the sunny weather, the joint venture contractor for the Hiep Duc - Phuoc Son section is concentrating equipment and human resources to carry out construction on the entire route, creating favorable conditions for people to travel.
However, there is still a situation of "leopard skin" land acquisition in some locations and the electricity and telecommunications systems have not been relocated, causing difficulties and affecting construction progress.
In addition to the National Highway 14E project, Hiep Duc district is also focusing on removing obstacles in the site clearance work for the ring road project from lane 3 Gia Bang (Tan Binh town) to the center of Que Luu commune; Tan Binh bridge project and the National Highway 14E bypass through Tan Binh town; and resettlement area projects along the northern ring road (Tan Binh town).
