Current status of abandoned resettlement housing area about to be renovated in the capital.
The investment project to build a resettlement housing area in Den Lu III Urban Area (Hoang Mai District) is one of five projects that have been slow to implement and put into use. The City has recently held a meeting to resolve difficulties and obstacles.
Completed in 2017, the resettlement housing area in Den Lu III Urban Area consists of 3 apartment buildings over 10 floors high, located in a "prime" location on Tan Mai Street (Hoang Mai District, Hanoi), but until now no one has come to live there.
In addition to the buildings, the project also synchronously develops an external technical infrastructure system such as underground tanks, yards, internal roads, trees, along with power supply, water supply and drainage systems and other modern equipment serving the project.
According to Tien Phong reporter, at present, 3 high-rise buildings in Den Lu III resettlement area are still abandoned and seriously degraded, even though they were built to serve the resettlement of people whose land was recovered.
After many years of not being used, many items of the project were damaged and degraded.
The entrance to the building's lobby is rundown, shabby, with weeds growing, many places have peeling walls, sagging glass doors, and many places are broken.
According to Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh, regardless of subjective or objective reasons, the projects that are slow to be implemented and put into use mentioned above have shown signs of waste, especially waste of time. The Chairman of the City People's Committee directed the People's Committee of Hoang Mai District to invest in the project to renovate and repair the resettlement housing project items in Den Lu III Urban Area to ensure that they are spacious, clean, and beautiful, serving the people's lives best after the resettlement housing is handed over.
