When she was little, H'Hen Nie craved reading books but didn't know where to find them. She often read the pieces of paper wrapped around loaves of bread so she understood the value of books.

That's why, after being crowned Miss, H'Hen Nie wants to bring books to children in remote areas through a friendly library project following the Room To Read model.
H'Hen Nie determined to complete the target of building 7 libraries
Up to now, after 7 years of persistently implementing the project Friendly library, Miss H'Hen Nie has handed over 11 libraries.
Of which, 1 library was inaugurated in Lam Dong province, 2 libraries in Ha Giang, 2 libraries in Lai Chau, 1 library in Dak Lak, 1 library in Gia Lai, 2 libraries in Ninh Thuan (September 2024) and most recently 2 libraries in An Giang province.
Since the beginning of 2024, H'Hen Nie has inaugurated and handed over 4 friendly libraries.
Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 give Tuoi Tre Online She plans to give away 7 friendly libraries in 2024, bringing the total number of libraries given away to 14.
If this plan is completed, the number of friendly libraries inaugurated in 2024 alone will double the number of libraries she has implemented over the past years.
The cost of making these libraries was partly paid for by H'Hen Nie herself, and partly supported by organizations and individuals through her participation in running competitions.

Tell stories that inspire reading
The two newest friendly libraries following the Room To Read model were handed over to two schools in An Giang province: O Lam A Primary School (Tri Ton district) and An Cu D Primary School (Tinh Bien district).
These are the first two libraries donated by H'Hen Nie to students in remote areas in Southwest region.
Every time the library is handed over, H'Hen Nie is always present to share the joy with the children, tell stories and give gifts.


This time, the beauty queen from Dak Lak plays the role of a giant ship in the story told to the children.
Through the time spent reading and interacting with the children, H'Hen Nie believes that: "If the children form reading habit Early, from primary school will be a good opportunity to help children maintain the habit of reading and discovering themselves later on.
Because of this belief and hope, H'Hen Nie has not been afraid of difficulties in maintaining the project for the past 7 years.
"Books are students' best friends. Ms. Hen wants her children to have this friend during their school years" - H'Hen Niê confided.
