That is Mr. Truong Van Be, Chairman of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Dang Hung Phuoc commune, Cho Gao district, Tien Giang province. He has been involved in the activities of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in the commune for many years and has helped many disadvantaged people, the poor, and victims of Agent Orange.

Mr. Bé has served as the Chairman of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange in Dang Hung Phuoc commune from 2013 to the present. As the head of the Association, Mr. Bé is always concerned about the Association's operational methods and how to provide the most effective and practical assistance to Agent Orange victims. This is because most families of Agent Orange victims in Dang Hung Phuoc commune face difficult living conditions and need support and assistance from the community and society.

Therefore, in the activities of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange in Dang Hung Phuoc commune, Mr. Be has left a strong mark. Mr. Be regularly works with his colleagues in the Executive Committee of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange in the commune to effectively mobilize agencies, units, and philanthropists to help victims of Agent Orange.

As the Chairman of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange in Dang Hung Phuoc commune, he has led the Association's emulation work to continuous development, becoming one of the leading commune-level Associations of Victims of Agent Orange in the "For Vietnamese Victims of Agent Orange" emulation movement launched by the Central Association. The Association has helped many families of Agent Orange victims overcome difficulties, receiving high praise and numerous commendations from the higher-level Association, the Party Committee, and the local government.

Mr. Bé said that Dang Hung Phuoc commune currently has 34 victims of Agent Orange. On average, the Association mobilizes about 100 million VND each year to support and assist Agent Orange victims, mainly through donating essential goods, building "Agent Orange Shelters," supporting production, and providing free medical examinations and medicine.

Mr. Bé himself also went to many agencies and organizations, seeking out philanthropists to mobilize resources to support disadvantaged victims of Agent Orange in Dang Hung Phuoc commune.

Specifically, the families of Agent Orange victims that the Association of Agent Orange Victims in Dang Hung Phuoc commune, as well as Mr. Be, often visit and give gifts to include: Mrs. Nguyen Thi On (born in 1955, Dang Phong Tren hamlet), whose husband was a soldier who passed away in 2008, and whose child is an Agent Orange victim, seriously ill and paralyzed; or Mr. Phan Thanh Long (born in 1977, Dang Phong Duoi hamlet), a retired soldier, whose only daughter is an Agent Orange victim, seriously ill, and has congenital disabilities since childhood; and many other difficult cases of Agent Orange victims in need of assistance.

Mr. Bé shared: “Having been involved with the Association of Victims of Agent Orange in Đăng Hưng Phước commune for many years, I have had the opportunity to visit many families of Agent Orange victims and to interact with and empathize with victims who suffer from congenital deformities, disabilities, paralysis, and those living in a vegetative state…”

In my capacity as a social worker and philanthropist, I, along with my colleagues in the Executive Committee of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange in Dang Hung Phuoc commune, regularly seek advice and proposals from local leaders and authorities to suggest the most effective measures to support and assist victims.

At the same time, the Association's officials and members went to many places to mobilize resources for the Association's activities, helping as many victims as possible…”.

With his diligence, dedication to his work, and wholehearted commitment to the Agent Orange victims, Mr. Bé's contributions to the Agent Orange Victims Association in Đăng Hưng Phước commune, as well as his assistance to the poor, those in difficult circumstances, and Agent Orange victims, have left a positive impression on the local people.

Mr. Bé is an active and consistent participant in all activities of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange in Dang Hung Phuoc commune, as well as in local emulation movements; he constantly strives to do a good job in the Association's work, contributing to the effective implementation of social welfare policies in the locality.
