Herbalife Vietnam receives Corporate Social Responsibility award for 7th consecutive year

The award recognizes and honors AmCham member companies that demonstrate effective links between business and society, and implement business models that create long-term economic and social value.

Herbalife Vietnam is honored to receive the AmCham award for the seventh consecutive time.

Mr. Vu Van Thang - General Director of Herbalife Vietnam and Cambodia, said, “We are very proud and excited to receive the AmCham Corporate Social Responsibility Award for the seventh consecutive time. This award is a testament to Herbalife Vietnam’s long-term commitment to supporting the community and contributing to the health and well-being of people in difficult circumstances.

“In line with Herbalife’s corporate social responsibility goals, together with Herbalife Vietnam’s independent members and employees, we will continue to develop and expand our CSR programs in a sustainable manner to help more people live their best lives,” Mr. Thang shared.

This award also marks a year of many achievements as the company is celebrating 15 years of operation in the Vietnamese market with many memorable activities.

In particular, the Casa Herbalife program has been implemented in Vietnam since 2013 with the goal of improving nutrition and promoting access to nutritional knowledge for children and disadvantaged communities, in line with the mission of the Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF) globally.

In 2024, Herbalife announced 5 new Casa partners including K Hospital (Hanoi), Gia Lai Province General Social Protection Center, An Tay Children's Protection Facility (Hue City), Khoai Chau Rehabilitation and Vocational Training School for the Disabled (Hung Yen Province), and Tra Vinh Province Social Protection Center.

With 5 new partners, the Casa Herbalife Vietnam program has expanded to 15 localities nationwide with a total support amount of nearly 25.5 billion VND (equivalent to more than 1 million USD), helping more than 3,000 people including children in difficult circumstances and homeless elderly people.

In addition, Herbalife Vietnam has contributed VND2.86 billion (equivalent to approximately USD116,000) to support people affected by Typhoon Yagi and floods in the northern provinces. Of this, VND857 million was contributed by Herbalife Vietnam independent members and employees.

On Voluntary Blood Donation Day, Herbalife Vietnam coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Hematology and Blood Transfusion Hospital and the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to organize an event at Herbalife offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, collecting 294 units of blood.

Herbalife Vietnam was awarded the "Social Impact" award by the Vietnam Food Development Network in collaboration with the Association for Food Transparency (AFT) and the Global Food Bank Network (GFN) at the Food Hero 2024 Ceremony, recognizing its contributions to improving daily nutrition for more than 4,000 disadvantaged people through the Casa Herbalife program.

In addition, Herbalife Vietnam was also awarded the Saigon Times CSR Award by Saigon Economic Magazine, honoring businesses that contribute to economic, social and environmental development.
