Recently, Asher Levine - Lisa's costume designer at Coachella 2025 - revealed that the spectacular transformations on stage were achieved thanks to a combination of modern performance techniques and high-tech fashion design.
From edgy bodysuits to gorgeous luminescent designs, everything is carefully calculated by the stylist team to ensure the best visual effect while still being convenient for the performance process.

Many of Lisa's outfits are designed in layers. The outermost part can be easily removed in a very short time.
For example, when performing the song Thunder , the female idol only took a few seconds on stage to remove the chains and oversized puffer jacket, immediately revealing the silver rubber bodysuit inside.

In particular, the silver scale bodysuit and the glowing corset were both crafted by Asher Levine from 3D printed rubber or plastic, based on Lisa's body scans to ensure an absolute fit.

The body-hugging design helps the Blackpink member's outfit fit perfectly, creating a strong visual effect on stage. Thanks to that, she can change clothes quickly between performances without having to edit or add accessories.

Sharing with fans on his personal page, Asher Levine said that his team designed Lisa's outfit at Coachella 2025 with flexible detachability thanks to a smart button system.
Her bodysuit originally featured hidden zippers, while the shoes and pants actually separated from the body-hugging design, allowing the wearer to easily remove it in just a few seconds.
During the idea development process, Asher Levine used AI (artificial intelligence) as an indispensable tool to optimize the creative process.

The designer revealed that the preparation process for Lisa's opening look at Coachella 2025 went through many detailed adjustments.
"I tried bigger spikes in the back, but they got in the way of Lisa's hair. After that, the team had to tweak the costume to ensure both stage effects and not cause inconvenience to Lisa," he said.

The original petal-inspired outfit was designed to be a one-piece outfit with wires running around the body. However, due to the short time it took to change, the team had to cut off the shins so Lisa could change faster.
"We only had one rehearsal so we had to practice with a shortened version," said the designer.
Previously, Taylor Swift also applied a similar design formula during her world tour, helping her easily change outfits on stage without interrupting the emotional flow of the performance.

Few people know that Lisa has to spend a lot of time practicing to be able to change outfits quickly on stage. She also proactively shortens the length of her nails - a small but important detail - to avoid situations where they get caught or tangled in her clothes.

Every time she transforms into a new image, the youngest member of Blackpink almost "disappears" behind layers of lighting effects, smoke, or moving LED screens. Sophisticated staging techniques combined with high-tech fashion design have helped the female idol create many eye-catching moments.

In addition, a separate backstage team is tasked with attaching, removing, and handling Lisa's costumes in seconds. All of this is thoroughly rehearsed with the artist many days before the show.
The post-production staff work with stopwatches in hand. Every move is calculated down to the second to ensure the transition is perfect on stage.
