(ABO) On the afternoon of April 16, the Supervisory Delegation of the Culture - Society Committee, Tien Giang Provincial People's Council, led by Comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyet Van, Head of the Culture - Society Committee, Provincial People's Council, came to supervise the implementation of Resolution 26, dated December 8, 2021 of the Tien Giang Provincial People's Council on "Regulations on support levels for population collaborators and policies on rewarding collectives and individuals in population work in Tien Giang province" in My Tho City.

In addition, sectors and organizations have conducted thousands of small group communications, thematic talks, and household consultations, etc. to provide necessary information to improve people's understanding, especially couples of childbearing age who have no children or have one child; young men and women preparing to get married, and prestigious people in the community, helping the force increasingly access information as well as the purpose, meaning, and importance of Resolution 26.
Currently, My Tho City maintains 230 population collaborators/230 areas. The city has achieved good results in rewarding women who give birth to 2 children before the age of 35. From 2022 to 2024, 1,140 people received Certificates of Merit from the People's Committee of My Tho City and a bonus of 1 million VND/person.

In addition, in My Tho City, Tan My Chanh commune has over 61% of couples of childbearing age having two children. Ward 2 has 100% of elderly people with health insurance cards, with health records and periodic health check-ups...
At the monitoring session, leaders of the People's Committee of My Tho City and communes and wards also raised some difficulties in implementing Resolution 26 and made proposals and recommendations such as: Increasing allowances for population collaborators because currently most collaborators are doing many jobs; proposing that the reward level for women of childbearing age before 35 years old increase from 3 to 5 million VND/person; policies to support women in prenatal screening, regular pregnancy check-ups and post-natal check-ups; adjusting the health care and examination targets for the elderly to have a way to calculate targets suitable to current reality...

Speaking at the monitoring session, Comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyet Van, Head of the Culture - Society Committee, Provincial People's Council highly appreciated the results of the implementation of Resolution 26 of My Tho City in the past time. Comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyet Van said: The purpose of this monitoring is to evaluate the results of the implementation of Resolution 26 in the city, as well as the advantages and difficulties in implementing this resolution. At the same time, the members of the Monitoring Delegation will record all opinions, recommendations and proposals of My Tho City so that the communes and wards can study and propose directions for more effective implementation of Resolution 26 in the coming time.
