As the President of the Women's Union of Quang Thien Commune (Kim Son), Ms. Pham Thi Hoan has devoted all her enthusiasm and passion to participating in emulation movements and key tasks of the Union, making efforts to mobilize members and women to join hands in the movement to build new rural areas in the locality.
To contribute to the locality in building a commune that meets advanced new rural standards, Ms. Pham Thi Hoan has actively promoted the purpose and meaning of building new rural areas to 100% of members and women directly or through meetings , mass media, social networking sites Zalo and Facebook.
In addition, regularly organize for members and women to participate in specific and practical activities associated with programs, movements and campaigns such as: "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's"; "Green Saturday, Clean Sunday" movement; "One billion green trees" program; Build and effectively maintain the models of "Organic waste treatment with microbiological products at households", "Collecting pesticide packaging and shells", "Clean house, beautiful garden", "Clean house, beautiful road", "Women's tree/flower road". Thereby attracting a large number of members and women to participate, contributing to the locality in completing the set criteria.
Realizing that building a green-clean-beautiful landscape is one of the important tasks, contributing to the completion of the criteria for advanced NTM in the commune, Ms. Pham Thi Hoan has actively mobilized cadres, women's union members and people in the commune to raise awareness in environmental protection. Through the work of "Skillful mass mobilization", she and the Executive Committee of the Commune Women's Union mobilized people, organizations and individuals to contribute 38.5 million VND to build a flower road and tree road in the commune with a total length of 3,780 m, in which 139 bougainvillea pots, 300 rose trees and 87 small flower beds were planted.
The Association has coordinated with organizations to mobilize members to plant 850 casuarina trees and 100 bauhinia trees; mobilized people to contribute to building 2 mural roads with a total length of 114 m, worth 34 million VND; mobilized women to contribute working days to whitewash the walls of the cultural house, the walls of households along the roads in the commune; mobilized families to voluntarily donate 504m2 of land for traffic roads.
In addition, regularly guide and support the Branches to mobilize member families and people to effectively implement the criteria of the Campaign "Building families of 5 no, 3 clean" and build the model of "Clean house, beautiful road". Up to now, 8 models of "Clean house, beautiful road" have been built with more than 700 members; 1 model of "Waste treatment with probiotics" with 50 participating households; model of "Collecting packaging and pesticide containers" with 50 containers; 80% of families meet the criteria of "5 no, 3 clean".
The Association regularly organizes for members and women to clean village roads and alleys, collect and treat waste, and clear sewers in response to the "Green Saturday, Clean Sunday" movement launched by the District Party Committee and People's Committee. Mobilize 100% of families to register not to litter, to dispose of waste on time and in the right place. Thereby reducing the situation of littering in public and reducing waste accumulation.
To help members improve their economic development, increase their income, and contribute to the completion of the new rural criteria, the Women's Union actively coordinates to create conditions for members to access capital sources entrusted for production development. The total outstanding loans of the Union reached over 9.5 billion VND, lending to over 200 members. 100% of poor households headed by women received support from the Union. Two households in difficult circumstances were helped with addresses, with a total loan of 310 million VND to develop the family economy. Mobilizing women to participate in "Savings Day to join hands for the poor", attracting 192 participants, so far the total savings at the District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office is 375 million VND.
Ms. Hoan has proactively coordinated with enterprises and cooperatives to organize vocational training for 150 female workers, improving their income. Up to now, many occupations are creating jobs for women such as weaving sedge and duckweed with an income of 80,000-150,000 VND/person/day. Coordinated to organize 5 sessions of transferring science and technology to 1,250 members and women in the commune.
Along with support in terms of capital and vocational training, members and women in the commune also have access to knowledge about economic development and production experience through conferences to honor typical women who are good at economics, encouraging women to apply science and technology, boldly invest in expanding production, business, and developing industries. Every year, the Association has at least 10 women members who are good at economics, 2 women members who are business owners, escaping poverty and becoming rich.
Ms. Pham Thi Hoan's contributions have been commended by all levels and sectors . Recently, she was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee for her outstanding achievements in building a commune that meets advanced NTM standards in Quang Thien commune.
