Journey to discover potential and improve oneself for excellent students

The opening round of the program “Elite in Talent”, aiming to build a generation of students with both solid professional knowledge and top-notch style, skills and thinking, took place successfully on October 25 with a convincing pitching round.

The program “Elite in talent” was launched by the University of Economics - VNU in July 2024. The program not only contributes to creating high-quality human resources, meeting social requirements, but also strengthens the position of the University in developing talents and building a prestigious brand in the field of training.

Since its inception, the program has attracted widespread attention from outstanding students through a rigorous selection process through application rounds and direct casting. Selected students will embark on a comprehensive training journey from communication, etiquette in formal ceremonies, to team building activities to improve teamwork skills and creative thinking. Students can also participate in competitions and creative exercises to optimally hone their personal qualities and skills.

In the initial round on October 25, students presented their creative ideas and called for investment for projects proposed by the jury. This was an opportunity not only for students to demonstrate their abilities but also for the school to select potential individuals for higher challenge rounds.

At the event, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Trung Thanh, Principal of the School, shared: “Each student needs to demonstrate their personality and courage through each project. This is a long journey for them to hone their skills, with creativity and effort being the key to their success.” He also emphasized the “three-second” principle when meeting new people: “You only have three seconds to make a first impression and achieve your goals.”

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Trung Thanh, Rector of University of Economics - VNU, spoke at the program.

The jury consisted of prestigious experts: Mentor Leo Nguyen - Chairman of HAVINA Group; Mentor Vu Huy Hoang - Director of FAST and STABLE Company; Mentor Ngoc Nguyen - startup expert; and Dr. Phung Thi Thu Huong - lecturer of the Faculty of Finance and Banking. They evaluated the students based on criteria such as creativity, feasibility, market potential, presentation skills and social value.

The judges took photos with the teams after the warm-up round went well.

After the warm-up round, the best teams will move on to the Mastery Path round in November, where students will face real-world challenges such as stress management skills, using AI tools and Microsoft Office in businesses. Finally, the Elite Challenge round in December will be the ultimate challenge for students to demonstrate their talent and breakthrough.
