From February 21-23, the Vietnamese Family Shelter program will film in Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province to support 18 orphaned children in difficult circumstances who always have the will to study and improve their lives.
The charity journey of the Vietnamese Family Shelter has officially restarted after Tet, starting with 3 days of filming in Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province. Here, the program will help 18 situations and spread love in the provinces: Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Lam Dong.
The program will record 6 episodes, from February 21-23, 2025 at the Binh Thuan Provincial Cultural and Artistic Theater & Exhibition - 9b Nguyen Tat Thanh, Binh Hung Ward, Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province, with the guidance of MC Dai Nghia, MC Thanh Thao, MC Duong Hong Phuc . Accordingly, the program also has the participation of guests such as: Director Nguyen Quang Dung; Singer Ho Trung Dung; Designer Do Long; Singer Ngo Kien Huy; Actor Quang Trung; Singer Hoang Yen Chibi; Model Tu Hao; Runner-up Vu Thuy Quynh; Runner-up Quynh Anh; King Tuan Ngoc; Miss Luong Thuy Linh and Miss Kieu Duy .
Tet Nguyen Dan is an occasion for us to feel more clearly the value of family reunion and love. However, there are still many children who have not had a chance to experience a complete Tet holiday because they lack a warm home. And during the days of directly surveying and visiting each family introduced by the locality to prepare for the series of filming activities in February 2025, the Vietnamese Family Home crew witnessed the difficult situations with their own eyes, listened to stories filled with pain and saw the deadlock of many families right in the days leading up to Tet, many times the crew choked up and shed tears.
That is the situation of two sisters in Thuan Nam district, Binh Thuan province. Their mother passed away when the older sister was only 5 years old, and the younger brother was just 3 years old, and they do not have many memories of their biological mother. Growing up in a deprived childhood, the image of their father, a "single father", working many jobs to earn money for his children to go to school is deeply engraved in the minds of the two sisters. Loving their father, the two sisters always tried to study hard and also took care of the housework so that their father could work with peace of mind.
People in the Central region are known for their resilience in the face of storms and floods, and the children growing up in the harsh Central region are equally resilient. Despite not having the means to get to school, they still do not give up on their studies, and still try to walk to class every day in the scorching sun.
Now, in the old, dilapidated house in the coastal district of Central Vietnam, the most precious thing the family has is the love the father and his three children have for each other. Along with the valuable assets are the certificates of merit from the two children, both a source of pride and motivation for the father to continue trying.
When the program crew came to find out, what the children were most worried about was not lack of food or clothing, but losing the only relative left by their side and no longer having the opportunity to go to school.
It can be said that the pain of losing a loved one not only leaves a void in the hearts of children, but also leaves the family with a heavy burden of making a living, becoming as harsh as the sun and wind of the Central Coast.
Overcoming difficult circumstances, overcoming the lack of affection of a complete family is the optimism and determination of the children. Many children participating in the Vietnamese Family Shelter program are excellent students at the district and provincial levels, achieving good results for many years in a row and are always loved by teachers and friends for their politeness and diligence in studying. It is the children's constant overcoming of difficulties that makes the journey of the Vietnamese Family Shelter even more meaningful.
