Nearly 3,500 domestic and international runners participated, more than 300 trees were planted and nearly 500kg of garbage was cleaned up, Green Can Gio Marathon HDBank 2024 spreads humanistic values, aiming for sustainable development through many meaningful activities.
Taking place on September 7 and 8, 2024, the "green race" Green Can Gio Marathon HDBank 2024 has left a lasting impression on thousands of participants and the running community because of its values of sportsmanship regardless of age, inspiring the community to protect the environment, spreading the tradition of drinking water and remembering its source, and promoting local tourism. In addition, the diverse competition categories help connect families, nurture the spirit and physical strength of children.
Can Gio Marathon has achieved AIMS certification - an international organization specializing in measuring and certifying long-distance races. With AIMS certification, athletes of Green Can Gio Marathon HDBank 2024 will have the opportunity to participate in 6 prestigious international marathon tournaments such as Boston, Chicago, New York, London, Berlin and Tokyo.
The race attracted many professional athletes to participate in the 42 km distance such as Trieu Tien Luyen, Nong Chang, Huynh Anh Khoi and Dang Anh Quyet.
Athlete To Dinh Khanh participated in the 5km distance in a wheelchair and finished after 49 minutes.

At the 1.5km and 3km distances, many children surprised fans with their speed, fitness and running technique, demonstrating their regular and serious training.
The "Husband carrying wife" competition on the "green track" Green Can Gio Marathon HDBank 2024 left unforgettable memories for the couples.

In addition to the official competition, HDBank, together with local departments and the race organizers, carried out many meaningful sideline activities such as offering incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at the Sac Forest - Can Gio Martyrs and Heroes Temple, planting trees, cleaning the beach, and donating exercise equipment to the outdoor gym to encourage people to exercise and improve their health.
More than 300 trees were planted by HDBank staff, youth union members, and local people.
Mr. Le Thanh Tung - Deputy General Director of HDBank and members of the HDBank Runners club participated in the race with enthusiasm.
With the desire to promote the love of sports and health training to bank employees and people, Mr. Nguyen Canh Vinh - Deputy General Director of HDBank also participated in the race and conquered the 42km distance.

Running is not the first and only sport that HDBank is associated with. Previously, HDBank has spent a decade accompanying the HDBank International Chess Tournament, helping a series of Vietnamese chess names reach the world level, such as Le Quang Liem, Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son, Le Tuan Minh, Tran Tuan Minh... From 2017 to present, HDBank has accompanied the National Futsal Championship, bringing the Vietnamese Futsal team to the World Cup finals for many years.
