Entering the most complex and secure field in the world, every step of the engineers at Viettel Aerospace Institute (VTX) always faces unprecedented challenges. The bravery of the soldiers on the Viettel science front is demonstrated through unexpected but convincing "overcoming waterfalls".

With the mission of researching, designing, manufacturing, and producing high-tech strategic weapons and equipment according to assigned tasks, VTX products face challenges of high technology, complexity, secrecy, no transfer, limited domestic supporting industry... "There are no models of this type of product in the world because they are all national secrets", Mr. Tran Anh Duc, in charge of assembling equipment components of VTX, shared about the confidentiality of VTX's product manufacturing process. "There is no place that produces modern equipment and passes on technology". This comes from the reason that all technologies related to VTX products are directly related to national security, directly affecting the position of that country in geopolitical relations in the region, even the world. Therefore, knowledge for design and manufacturing is always a secret kept in the highest security zone. Grease hands build a million-dollar knowledge bank Anh Duc said that researching to create a technological process, integrating assembly steps, control steps and tests for high-tech equipment products is an important task in the production of high-tech products. In fact, during the working process, there was a partner who was willing to sell a set of documents guiding the assembly of a product to VTX for hundreds of millions of USD, even though this document only guided manual assembly, without explaining the corresponding steps. For each product, this partner would sell a similar set of documents. Of course, VTX refused to "buy" such documents, determined to proactively find a way to build its own technological process documents.Mr. Tran Anh Duc, in charge of assembling VTX equipment components. "When we started working, we started from scratch. We studied the models of major companies in the world such as Boeing and Airbus, and looked back at their equipment suppliers to understand how the equipment was provided, and from there we identified the process with these stages, and judged where the equipment was in the process. Each completed VTX product will come with about 100 tests for the functions. Each test is guided step by step. Everything is detailed," Mr. Duc affirmed. Although VTX consulted many experienced experts in Vietnam and partners around the world, no one could come up with a complete solution. VTX also made suggestions for partners to edit, but the returned products still had errors. A faulty component led to a delay in all testing activities of VTX. VTX and its partners agreed to produce 10 sets of products and test them on-site to find out the problem. They tested the first two sets themselves and found no errors, so they quickly made the next eight sets. They have great confidence in the production process and can "take revenge" on VTX. Up to now, VTX is proud to have successfully researched, designed, manufactured, produced and tested at the ministerial level and put into service many high-tech strategic weapons. The achievement is a breakthrough development of the Vietnamese defense industry, actively contributing to building a strong, streamlined army equipped with modern weapons, protecting the peace of the country. On October 10, 2024, the President signed Decision No. 1008/QD-CTN on conferring the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" to Viettel Aerospace Institute for this exceptionally outstanding achievement.
