According to Ms. Phan Thi Hien Luong, Director of the center, at preschool level, children are very active, mainly learning skills while playing, so their psychology is comfortable. However, when moving from preschool to primary school, to avoid children being confused, we opened a life skills course. Through fun activities, the course helps teach children skills, confidence when going to class, and easy integration into the routine.
As the owner of a spa, Ms. Nguyen Kieu Chinh, Kim Tan Ward (Lao Cai City) has a very busy job. She confided: This summer, I registered my child for a life skills course. My child is shy, but after participating in many group activities with his friends, he has become more courageous.
Recently, schools in Lao Cai city have organized online enrollment registration. The enrollment targets are 6-year-old children and children aged 7, 8, 9 who have not yet started grade 1. Enrollment via the website: https://laocai.tsdc.vnedu.vn combined with the child's identification code, helping parents register their children without having to go to school and bring documents and papers.
After successfully registering her child for Bac Cuong Primary School, Ms. Le Thi Hanh immediately shared this information with her son so that he would know about the school he would be studying and practicing in the future. Not only did Ms. Hanh let her child attend life skills classes, she also trained her child to be punctual since the summer. She also spent time talking to her child and preparing him mentally.
Ms. Hanh said: I shared with my child that after this summer vacation, he will be in first grade, entering primary school with new teachers and new friends. To help him feel comfortable, I told him interesting things about school and showed him pictures of school activities. Therefore, he was very excited to show everyone that he was about to become a first grader.
However, many parents are worried that their children will not be able to keep up with their friends, so this summer they let their children learn the first grade curriculum in advance. In fact, the children's luggage for first grade has been equipped since they were 5 years old. Preschools have organized many trips to elementary schools, where children can experience class time with older brothers and sisters or participate in extracurricular activities. Children are also introduced to 24 letters, 10 numbers, taught how to hold a pen, correct sitting posture, school discipline and personal hygiene... Therefore, when entering the school year, opening new pages of books will make children more excited, more focused on learning and exploring.
For children to have a useful summer before entering first grade, parents have many other options, because in the city, many classes are opened such as summer talent classes, singing, playing instruments, chess, swimming, art, MC... which also help children express themselves, be more confident, and be more sociable.
