Nearly 450 million VND was announced at the expanded meeting of Bach Mai Hospital on the morning of September 13th, following a two-day campaign by the Party Committee, Board of Directors, and Trade Union Executive Committee of the hospital to encourage staff and workers to contribute and help colleagues, medical staff, and people in the northern provinces affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods.

The amount of money is expected to continue to increase because the activity has been receiving enthusiastic support from staff, doctors, nurses, and workers in the departments, wards, and centers of the hospital. The program was launched from September 11th to September 20th.

Bach Mai Hospital is actively providing treatment to patients.

Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co, Director of Bach Mai Hospital, shared: In addition to calling on all medical staff and employees to contribute materially, the hospital has also established specialized teams and emergency teams to promptly support colleagues in treating victims, and to conduct remote consultations for severe and critical cases. We have organized and dispatched teams of doctors and medical staff to disaster-stricken areas to provide assistance, support with resources and personnel, and directly help and share the difficulties faced by colleagues and fellow citizens.

The hospital director emphasized that for victims transferred to the hospital for treatment, the specialized departments quickly receive them and focus all resources on providing timely care. In addition, medical staff need to maintain a proactive spirit, be ready to respond to outbreaks of disease after the storms and floods, and have plans to guide and support colleagues and the local community in a timely manner.

On the morning of September 13th, the National Children's Hospital launched a fundraising campaign among all its staff and employees to support those affected by Typhoon No. 3 ( Yagi ).

At the launch event, each official, employee, and worker voluntarily donated at least one day's salary. The hospital will transfer a portion of the donated funds to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and the remainder will be used to organize medical examinations and provide gifts directly to the affected localities.

Earlier, the Board of Directors, representing the hospital, also visited and provided timely support to pediatric hospitals, obstetrics and pediatrics hospitals, and general hospitals in the areas damaged by typhoon No. 3.

As a tertiary surgical hospital, Viet Duc Friendship Hospital has recently received and treated cases of serious injuries following landslides in Yen Bai and Cao Bang. In addition, leading doctors have continuously held emergency consultations for severe cases, promptly treating injuries in situations where patients could not be transferred to higher-level hospitals.

In the spirit of mutual support and compassion, and to help those affected by floods and serious injuries caused by storms and floods, as well as medical facilities treating patients, on September 13th, Viet Duc Friendship Hospital organized a blood donation program to support those in urgent need of blood for relief efforts.

The "White Blouse - Pink Heart" blood donation program took place with the participation of a large number of staff, officials, and employees of the hospital. Each drop of donated blood is not only a practical support but also a humane act to support victims of accidents and serious injuries caused by storms and floods.

All the precious blood donations from the program supporting those affected by Typhoon Yagi will soon be transported to the areas severely impacted by the storm and floods, carrying with them hope and support to help people overcome difficulties and restore their health after the natural disaster.
