According to Dan Tri reporter's investigation, the truck driver in the video above is Mr. Hoang Van Khanh (33 years old, residing in Cao Bang city).
On the morning of August 26, through social media, he learned that the road through Cao Xuyen hamlet, Quoc Toan commune, Quang Hoa district was deeply flooded, and many vehicles could not move through.
At this time, many people used homemade handcarts to offer motorbike transport services through flooded areas, charging 50,000-100,000 VND per trip. Seeing this, Mr. Khanh decided to quit his job and drive his truck to help people.
“When I arrived, many people were waiting to hire someone to take them across the flooded road. I promised to take both people and vehicles for free, but no one believed me. I had to keep repeating that I would not charge,” Khanh shared.
More than a day later, Mr. Khanh's actions were widely shared on social networks, and the online community continuously praised and thanked the kind driver.
For his part, Mr. Khanh felt surprised and happy to be able to help people in difficult times.
“I drive my family’s car to deliver goods, so wherever I go, whenever I see someone in need, I’m willing. If I don’t earn money now, I can earn it later,” the driver confided.
