Tens of thousands of Ha Long youth join forces to clean up the environment

TPO - This is the largest-ever marine environmental sanitation campaign in Ha Long City (Quang Ninh), demonstrating the pioneering spirit of young people in overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3.

The youth union cleaned up the environment, essential works, public transport routes and residential areas to soon stabilize people's lives, restore production, business and tourism services.

This campaign is built according to the Environmental Sanitation Campaign Plan in response to the 7-day and night peak campaign to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 (YAGI) of the Standing Committee of Ha Long City Youth Union.

The peak program mobilizes all human resources to overcome the situation at the scene, organizes the collection, treatment, and repair of fallen trees and damaged structures, cleans up the environment, ensures smooth traffic, and continues to carry out production and business activities in the city.

The Youth Union of High Schools and Vocational Education and Continuing Education Centers in the City mobilized 100% of its forces to participate, maximizing the voluntary and exemplary spirit of union members and young people to join hands in post-storm recovery activities.

The youth volunteer teams of the campaign will carry out tasks at the main locations: Tran Quoc Nghien coastal road (from Vincom Ha Long intersection to Cot 8 gas station); Hon Gai beach area; Ky Quan route area (from VinPearl Dao Reu dyke to Lighthouse); Bai Chay beach and the area on both sides of the road from Muong Thanh Hotel roundabout (beginning of Vuon Dao street) to Cai Beo street (opposite Ocean Park).

Secretary of Ha Long City Youth Union Nguyen Tuan Thang expressed: "Ha Long City Youth Union deeply believes that with the joint efforts of all union members, youth and people of Ha Long City, the work of overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 will be completed quickly, Ha Long City will soon return to normal life, restore business and tourism activities and continue to become the top destination in Vietnam".

During this period, Ha Long City Youth Union invested in 2 saws, purchased thousands of pairs of gloves, shovels, brooms, and raincoats to serve some teams in cleaning the environment.
