Vietbuild 2025: Chinese goods are still strong in price, Vietnamese goods rise in quality
Blowing fire into a door, soaking wood in water, or painting a sofa. These are things that businesses are willing to do to prove the quality of their products.
The first Vietbuild Hanoi International Exhibition 2025 has opened at the National Exhibition Center for Architecture and Construction Planning. More than 1,500 booths are introducing new products and showcasing the most advanced technologies in the fields of construction, building materials, real estate and interior and exterior decoration. The event will last from March 19 to 23.
The highlight of the event was the Persian House brand booth. The interior decorations here were imported from Iran and were extremely valuable. For example, a large reddish-brown carpet with a circular pattern is currently priced at 100 million VND.
Despite its smaller size, the green carpet with a pair of peacocks printed on it costs nearly 1 billion VND. This high price comes from the fact that the product is completely handwoven.
The exhibition is filled with fragrant agarwood booths. The largest agarwood bonsai model in the picture is also the most expensive, with a price tag of up to 1 billion VND. The shop owner said that all the agarwood is mined in Quang Nam province.
One of the unique products at the event was the decorative models of VNB Factory. The outside of the product is covered with artificial grass, the inside is made of virgin plastic and is fixed by an iron frame. The company has been supplying this product to the US and European markets for the past 13 years.
Chinese enterprises’ booths are an indispensable part of the exhibition. The products produced by your country cover all fields with a variety of different price segments.
However, if you want to find a "unique" product compared to the rest, it is the mobile home product of Fuqian Metal Company.
The mobile home has an area of 38 square meters and is priced at 24,500 USD, including furniture. The shipping fee from the factory in China to Hai Phong port is 3,900 USD. The product will have a 3-year warranty and each warranty period will require the home to be shipped to China.
Price is always the strength of Chinese businesses. The lavabo cabinet set that the female employee is introducing costs just over 1.3 million VND. Meanwhile, similar models in the country are sold for 5 - 6 million VND. With competitive prices, some customers have expressed their desire to import the products, add their logos and sell them in Vietnam.
Currently, many Vietnamese enterprises are improving their production processes to reduce costs and increase competitiveness. For example, Dai Viet Plastic Factory is confident that its hollow plastic sheet products have prices equivalent to those of Chinese products but still ensure quality. Currently, the enterprise has 3 factories in Vietnam and regularly exports large quantities of goods to the Indian market.
Quality is something that many Vietnamese businesses confidently show off at the exhibition. At Minh Phu Sofa booth, staff are ready to draw on the sofa to demonstrate the product's easy-to-clean, stain-resistant capabilities.
The sofa in the picture is covered with industrial leather, scratch-resistant, and cat-proof. The lowest price ranges from 3.8 to 5 million VND per meter in length.
With Viet's Power Company, businesses are willing to blow fire to prove the fire resistance of wooden doors. It is known that these items cost 3.5 - 4 million VND/m2, 60% more expensive than regular wooden doors.
Great Volcano Company also soaks the product in water to confirm the quality of the wood.
