Nearly 150 thousand tourists went to Ba Den Mountain to worship the statue of Bodhisattva Maitreya on the 4th day.

According to information from the Organizing Committee updated at 6:00 p.m. on the 4th day of Tet, more than 200,000 visitors were present at the square opposite the cable car station of Ba Den Mountain to be ready to attend the opening ceremony of Ba Den Mountain Spring Festival 2024.
From early morning, all over Tay Ninh, convoys of vehicles were seen pouring into Ba Den Mountain. In particular, the Ba Temple area and Ba Den Mountain peak welcomed the largest number of visitors during the past few days of Tet. According to information from Sun World Ba Den Mountain Tourist Area, by the evening of the 4th, 148,000 visitors had taken the cable car to Ba Den Mountain for pilgrimage.
Ba Pagoda is the leading spiritual destination in the South.
The Ba Pagoda area, associated with the sacred legend of Linh Son Thanh Mau Bodhisattva, is always the top pilgrimage destination for people in the South every spring. Despite welcoming a large number of visitors, the Ba Pagoda system this year did not record any congestion because of the scientific flow of visitors. Meanwhile, on the top of the mountain, the vibrant spring festival atmosphere lasted from early morning to late at night.

Since the first day of the Lunar New Year, every day, hundreds of thousands of tourists have come to the top of the mountain to worship the statue of Buddha Tay Bo Da Son and the world's largest statue of Bodhisattva Maitreya, praying for a new year of peace, happiness and luck. In addition, tourists can leisurely admire Dau Tieng Lake and the fertile plain from the Wishing Bridge; watch the water music show with magical visual effects created by modern equipment and the latest technology never before applied in Vietnam right at this magnificent complex of spiritual and cultural works. Not only is it a sacred destination, Ba Den mountain also brings a spring atmosphere filled with emotions and hope with hundreds of blooming flowers, tens of thousands of tulips, and brilliant rose, apricot and peach bushes.

Mr. Pham Hung Thai (HCMC) said: "Our family went up the mountain early in the morning, spending the whole day exploring the mountain top but still not finishing. There are so many new and exciting experiences. We will stay until the evening to watch the water music show at the area of the Maitreya Bodhisattva statue. My family is really curious about what the water music show will be like using the most modern technology in Vietnam."
Meanwhile, according to Ms. Thao Nhi (Long An), this year Sun World Ba Den Mountain Tourist Area has many new and attractive dishes at reasonable prices, which is very convenient for visitors to stay on the mountain to attend the spring festival from morning to night. "From buffet, pizza, bread to vegetarian rice..., there are many delicious and cheap food options that can help us recharge our energy to play all day long on the mountain top".

This year, the opening ceremony of the Ba Den Mountain Spring Festival continues to be invested in grandly with special art performances elaborately staged with the participation of famous artists such as singers Tung Duong, Phuong Vy, Nguyen Phi Hung... and unique and impressive art performances. In particular, the festival brings to visitors and audiences eye-catching high-altitude fireworks displays, bringing hope for a brilliant and sublime new year of Giap Thin.

At the same time, visitors will also be able to participate in many cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities such as lion and dragon dances, martial arts performances, martial arts music, folk dance performances... lasting until the end of January 29.
This is also the time of the Maitreya Spring Festival on the top of Ba Den Mountain with many sacred experiences, especially the lantern offering ritual on weekend evenings from the full moon of January until the end of the spring festival for people to send their wishes for a peaceful and happy new year.

Therefore, tourists only need to leisurely go to Ba Den Mountain to visit spring, worship Buddha, attend festivals, and enjoy a perfect, peaceful and happy spring season on Ba Den Mountain" - Ms. Viet added.
