Meeting us during the break, although sweat was still pouring down her face, Ms. Nguyen Thi An, an officer at the Na Nhan Commune Health Station, Dien Bien Phu City, could not hide her pride at being able to participate in the parade in the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
Ms. An excitedly shared: Our workers' marching group has 85 people. Honestly, at first, because we were not used to the training conditions, along with the extremely hot weather, some people were tired and showed signs of heatstroke. However, everyone felt honored and proud to be selected to participate in the marching group and encouraged each other to practice hard to achieve the best results. After 2 weeks of practice, the health of the brothers in the group became even better, meeting the basic requirements of movement and walking.
For the young people, the training process is already hard, but for the elderly people in the veteran parade group, it is even harder. However, with the spirit of Uncle Ho's soldiers, each member of the group considers this an honor, responsibility, and pride of each veteran.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Thao, veteran parade group, shared: The closer the official anniversary date is, the more excited we are and try to encourage each other to practice seriously, concentrate highly to meet the strict requirements of the formation. The most difficult movement is to walk at attention, turn your face to the right to salute, because at that time your eyes are directed to the stands, you cannot look straight ahead, so you are afraid of being "pushed" in line. Up to this point, we have practiced it well. Our veteran parade group is also considered one of the groups with a beautiful, even formation.
The parade is an important highlight of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, to demonstrate the force, affirm the significance, stature and great historical value of Dien Bien Phu Victory. To prepare for the celebration, since April 6, the whole province has mobilized more than 6,450 people to participate in training. Including: 18 groups standing as a background on the field, 8 groups marching for the masses, 2 groups of young people presenting flowers, 3 groups of honor vehicles and 3,000 students sitting and waving flags and flowers on the stands.
Along with 2 other training locations, Dien Bien Phu City Square and Dien Bien District Conference Center, over the past few days, at the Provincial Stadium, more than 3,100 people participated in 3 groups of honor vehicles, 9 groups standing as a background, 2 groups of youth presenting flowers and 8 groups of mass parades enthusiastically practicing. On the field, women, young people, students and especially veterans and former youth volunteers diligently practiced basic movements such as crossing legs, hitting hands, practicing lining up, waving flags and flowers... The sound of the whistle, the shouts of "one two - one two", mixed with the sound of footsteps walking in unison, showed the serious and enthusiastic training atmosphere here.
Major Nguyen Van Duong, Operations Department, Provincial Military Command, said: After nearly 2 weeks of training, in general, the units have grasped the basic movements and firmly grasped the tasks of their units. The background force has practiced standing still for 70 minutes, the marching unit has also ensured the training content. From April 15 to now, we have organized for all units of the province to practice together. Thanks to the serious practice in advance, in the past 3 days of joint training, the units have basically achieved unity.
At this point, the training has passed nearly half way. After the training period ends on April 24, the forces of Dien Bien province will conduct joint training, preliminary rehearsals, and general rehearsals according to the plan of the Ministry of National Defense. The spirit, responsibility, and high determination of the cadres and people in the heroic historical land of Dien Bien Phu will contribute to the success of the great ceremony.
In the sun, the marching groups practiced diligently.
