Ho Chi Minh City University of Law has just announced a list of 41 cases of forced expulsion and 75 cases of academic warning due to poor academic results in the second semester of the 2023-2024 school year.

The students who were forced to drop out had an average score of semester 1 and 2 of the 2023-2024 school year, mostly below 1 (on a 4-point scale), in many cases 0 points. Before being forced to drop out, these students were given academic warnings twice in a row.

For students with academic warning, the average score of semester 2 of the 2023-2024 school year is mostly below level 1. In particular, one case was given an academic warning because the total number of failed credits in the semester exceeded 50% of the registered credits in the semester.

According to regulations of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, students are given academic warning when they do not meet conditions such as the total number of failed credits in the semester exceeding 50% of the registered credits in the semester, or the total number of outstanding credits from the beginning of the course exceeding 24 credits.
