Thousands of Ho Chi Minh City residents eagerly "go to Hanoi" right on Nguyen Hue street

(Dan Tri) - A series of Hanoi heritage scenes were displayed and recreated at Nguyen Hue walking street (District 1) attracting thousands of Ho Chi Minh City residents to visit on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the capital.
Within the framework of the event "Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City", many scenes and heritages of Hanoi are displayed on Nguyen Hue walking street. This is a series of activities to promote the image, culture, cuisine, and impressive craft villages of Hanoi to people and tourists in Ho Chi Minh City. The event "Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City" was organized by the Hanoi Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for 3 days (August 23-25) on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024). According to Dan Tri reporters, thousands of Ho Chi Minh City residents arrived very early to visit and have fun at the event "Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City".
Along Nguyen Hue walking street, typical and ancient locations of Hanoi throughout its development are displayed and recreated. The opening ceremony took place at 8:00 p.m. on August 23 at Nguyen Hue walking street, including many special dance and music performances on stage inspired by the Hanoi Flag Tower - a special historical relic, one of the symbols of the capital.
The perspective of Long Bien Bridge is enjoyed by many locals and tourists. The bridge is one of the typical cultural heritages promoted in Ho Chi Minh City in a series of activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the capital. Long Bien Bridge has witnessed many heroic and tragic historical events of Hanoi. The Hanoi Flag Tower is also recreated at Nguyen Hue walking street for locals and tourists to visit. The Hanoi Flag Tower was built in 1805 and completed in 1812 under the Nguyen Dynasty. In addition, miniature scenes such as Hanoi Mid-Autumn Festival, Hoan Kiem Lake, Phung Hung mural street, Hanoi flower colors and the headquarters of Hanoi Moi newspaper also contribute to enriching the event space, helping Ho Chi Minh City people have the opportunity to experience and deeply feel the soul and beauty of Hanoi. In particular, the product promotion program, combined with tourism promotion between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, includes activities to promote products, craft villages, tourism, combined with experiencing the capital's culinary specialties. The highlight of the exhibition lies in the space with many unique sections. Among them, the culinary space is chosen by many visitors. "I really like Hanoi rice rolls, rich in flavor, delicious and affordable. The settings here are very beautiful, this is a very meaningful activity," said Ms. Ly (28 years old, District 3). Ms. Le Thi Anh Mai, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hanoi City, hopes that through the program "Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City", Ho Chi Minh City residents as well as domestic and foreign tourists will feel the deep and sincere affection of Hanoians and understand more about the beauty of culture, people and life in the thousand-year-old capital.
"Visiting historical sites in Hanoi is a wonderful experience, full of national significance. In particular, the stalls selling Hanoi's specialties are very diverse and rich," said Nguyen Hoang Tuan (34 years old, Go Vap district). The event also contributed to strengthening the relationship between the people of the North and the South, while affirming the important historical significance of the Capital Liberation Day. Through this, Ho Chi Minh City residents not only enjoyed the unique cultural colors of Hanoi but also had the opportunity to exchange, learn and enhance the spirit of national solidarity.
The program "Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City" takes place from August 23 to 25 at Nguyen Hue walking street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City). The series of activities on this occasion also includes the participation of many guest artists such as Hong Nhung, Tung Duong, MTV group, Dao Mac, Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Vu Thang Loi, Ho Trung Dung, Dao To Loan, Dong Hung, Quach Mai Thy, model group Xuan Lan, Designer Duc Hung; Hong Kien Band - Symphony Orchestra... In addition, there are activities to visit and give gifts to 70 families of policy beneficiaries, exemplary meritorious people, including soldiers who participated in the liberation of the capital and are currently living in Ho Chi Minh City.
