On the evening of March 22, in front of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural House, more than 1,000 young people and actors, beauty queens and runners-up participated in the Vietnamese costume performance - "Green Hair and Ao Dai Festival Season 5" within the framework of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Festival (YOUTH FEST) 2025.

First launched in 2021, the Vietnamese Costume Festival "Green Hair and Ao Dai" is the largest Vietnamese costume - Vietnamese culture festival in Ho Chi Minh City. This time, the Vietnamese Costume Festival "Green Hair and Ao Dai" returns with the theme "Downstream Legend" to mark its 5th anniversary and collaborate with the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union so that the festival is for the first time within the framework of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Festival (YOUTH FEST) in 2025.

The Vietnamese Costume Parade - "Green Hair and Ao Dai" Festival has become a cultural destination for young people who love fashion after 5 seasons of organization.

The program is imbued with national identity, recreating a clear space of Vietnamese culture through the presentation of Vietnamese costumes and through unique and vivid performances that dramatize historical events.

In the program, young people wore traditional Vietnamese costumes such as: Nhat Binh shirt, tac shirt, four-panel shirt, short-sleeved shirt, giao linh, vien linh, Nguyen Dynasty traditional costumes... and danced folk dance to the song Mot vong Viet Nam.

The event, attended by a large number of students and young people in Ho Chi Minh City who have a special love for Vietnamese costumes, created a great festival honoring traditional Vietnamese culture.

Many costumes from different eras appeared in the Vietnamese costume event - "Green hair and shirt flap" festival season 5 at the Youth Cultural House.

"Green Hair and Ao Dai" is not simply a fashion event, but also a movement connecting the community, contributing to preserving and promoting national cultural values ​​in the context of international integration.

Participants reflected on how the gap between generations has been shortened, as young people appreciate ancient architectural works, early inventions of the ao dai, and the patterns and motifs designed on the ao dai for men and women, thereby joining hands to preserve and spread cultural values ​​that are not eroded by time.
