On the afternoon of July 13, before the closing ceremony of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2024, people and tourists gathered along the banks of the Han River to prepare to fully admire the "great feast of light".
According to SGGP reporters, at around 5 p.m., people and tourists flocked to the grandstand area of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival on Tran Hung Dao Street (Son Tra District).
Near the riverbank of Tran Hung Dao Street (Son Tra District), people gathered in the Han River area to "reserve a spot" to watch the fireworks.
Traveling with her family by car from Dong Hoi City (Quang Binh Province) to Da Nang City to watch the fireworks, Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong (35 years old) said that although she had bought tickets for the final night, many places were "sold out". So early, her whole family brought food and drinks and found a spot by the riverside to wait for the performance.
Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Van Nhan (29 years old, residing in Thanh Khe district) said that the performance of the fireworks teams from China and Finland on the 4th performance night made a strong impression on thousands of locals and tourists.
Therefore, Da Nang people also want to see the two teams compete with their own eyes. Although they have bought tickets for the final night, many places are still "sold out".
Authorities were also present to regulate traffic, avoid rush hour congestion and ensure security and order in the area around the stands.
The dramatic final night between two "arch-rivals" from China and Finland has turned Da Nang into the hottest tourist destination in the country during this time.
According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism, in the 3 days from July 11 to 13, Da Nang City recorded 455 flights to Da Nang. On July 13, there were about 147 flights to Da Nang, about 7,500 - 8,000 passengers arrived in Da Nang by train.
Accommodation facilities have served an estimated 90,017 visitors, including about 30,970 international visitors. The room capacity of Da Nang City has almost reached its maximum, with an occupancy rate of up to 95%. The capacity of cruise ships has reached 100%.
