Thousands of people attended the 20th anniversary celebration of Phu Ninh district.

(NLDO) – After 20 years of establishment, Phu Ninh district ( Quang Nam ) has achieved many important achievements in all fields.

On the evening of March 7, Phu Ninh district, Quang Nam province held a ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the district's establishment (2005 - 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the homeland.

According to records, thousands of people in Phu Ninh district and neighboring localities flocked to the central area of ​​Phu Thinh town to attend the celebration.

On this occasion, Phu Ninh district held many cultural and artistic activities that were well received by local people. Among them, the fireworks display was highly anticipated by many locals and tourists.

Mr. Le Van Dung, Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee, spoke at the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Van Dung, Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee, said Phu Ninh is a land rich in cultural and revolutionary traditions.

On January 5, 2005, the Government issued Decree No. 01/2005/ND-CP establishing wards and communes in Tam Ky town; adjusting the administrative boundaries of Tam Ky town to establish Phu Ninh district, Quang Nam province.

After 20 years of establishment, Phu Ninh district has achieved many important achievements in all fields.

In 2010, Phu Ninh was honored to be the only district in the province and one of five districts nationwide selected by the Central Steering Committee to lead the construction of new rural areas. Five years later, Phu Ninh was recognized as a district meeting new rural standards.

Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, on behalf of the provincial leaders, presented a banner to the Party Committee, government and people of Phu Ninh district.

Since then, the district has continued to maintain and uphold the criteria of a new rural district and achieved 7/9 criteria of an advanced new rural district; 32/48 villages have met the standards of a model new rural village. The appearance of Phu Ninh countryside has changed day by day, the material and spiritual life of the people has improved, national defense and security have been maintained...

At the ceremony, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, presented to the Party Committee, government, and people of Phu Ninh district a banner with the content: "Solidarity - Innovation - Creativity, Determination to build a rich and civilized Phu Ninh district".
