German energy firm pushes for technological innovation

DNVN - Recently, FPT signed a 5-year Master Services Agreement (MSA) with RWE (Germany), aiming to promote technological innovation, optimize operations and sustainable growth, supporting RWE to expand its information technology and operations management system (IT/OT), renewable energy and data-based solutions.

The signing ceremony was held in Essen (Germany), marking a new step forward in the cooperation between the two parties. Accordingly, FPT will deploy a Product and Solution Development Center, providing cost-optimized and scalable solutions to meet the growing needs of RWE. At the same time, FPT will also establish a local Resource Development Center, focusing on providing PMO consulting and management services.

Through this enhanced collaboration, FPT and RWE will advance their shared vision of green energy transformation. The Product and Solution Development Center will support RWE in expanding its resources efficiently, providing tailored solutions and optimizing scalability. Meanwhile, the Resource Development Center will enhance consulting services, implement PMO process automation, and contribute to improving operational efficiency and ROI.

FPT also accompanies RWE to expand its business activities into the fields of information technology and operations management (IT/OT), renewable energy, and the development of advanced data and AI solutions.

The agreement will also strengthen the partnership between FPT and RWE by supporting the RWE Academy, implementing recognition programs for key experts, and investing in innovation initiatives focused on AI and automation. These efforts affirm FPT’s commitment to accompany RWE’s development, build a learning culture, promote innovation, and be ready to adapt to future changes.

RWE is a leader in the clean energy journey with its “Growing Green” strategy, committed to reducing carbon emissions in a way that will help keep global temperature increases below 1.5 degrees Celsius. RWE has invested billions of euros to expand its power generation portfolio, with a particular focus on energy sources such as offshore wind, onshore wind, solar power and battery storage. RWE is implementing plans to phase out coal entirely by 2030 and achieve net zero emissions by 2040.
