On June 16, the Bien Hoa Central Institute of Forensic Psychiatry sent a written appeal to the Ministry of Health after 13 officials of this unit (including 11 officials of the institute and 2 retired officials) were arrested and summoned by the Ministry of Public Security's C02 to serve the investigation.

This document was signed by Mr. Nguyen Van Duc, Deputy Director of the Central Institute of Forensic Psychiatry, Bien Hoa, and sent to the Ministry of Health.

11 officials of the Institute and 2 retired officers were searched and summoned for questioning, including: Doctor Nguyen Van Trong - Head of Department of Compulsory Treatment for Men 1, Doctor Ha Ngoc Khanh - Department of Compulsory Treatment for Men 1, Doctor Pham Van Thang - Deputy Head of Department of Compulsory Treatment for Men 4, Nurse Lam Thi Anh Hong - Head Nurse of the Department of Assessment.

Doctor Ly Thi Hoai Nam - Head of the Department of Treatment on Demand, Doctor Nguyen Van Thanh - Deputy Head of the Department in charge of the Department of Compulsory Treatment for Women, Mr. Dang Quoc Tuyen - Head of the Department of General Planning, Doctor Nguyen Thi Huyen - Head of the Department of Compulsory Treatment for Men 4.

Besides, there are also doctors Truong Thi Xuan Uyen - Deputy Head of Department in charge of Compulsory Treatment for Men 2, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong - Deputy Head of Department in charge of professional affairs of Bien Hoa Central Forensic Psychiatry Institute, Mr. Le Van Hung - Head of Bien Hoa Central Forensic Psychiatry Institute

Two retired officials of the Institute include: Doctor Bui The Hung - former Director of the Institute and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Quang - former Head of the Department of General Planning and Head of the Department of Appraisal.

The document stated that the situation is now very urgent, the unit no longer has any staff working, so the Institute urgently reports and asks for direction from the Ministry of Health to have a plan to stabilize the workforce at the unit.

As reported, previously, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency arrested leaders, former leaders, many doctors, nurses... of the Bien Hoa Central Institute of Forensic Psychiatry.
