On the morning of September 1, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien (Trung My Tay Ward, District 12) went to Hoc Mon wholesale market to buy food for her family to celebrate September 2. Ms. Hien said that the prices of vegetables and fruits at this wholesale market are stable compared to normal days, some types are even lower than normal days.
"I often go to this wholesale market to buy food because the prices are cheaper than buying at small markets near my house. Now that it's a holiday, the amount of goods I buy for my family is 4 times higher than usual, so I go early to buy fresh goods. In general, the prices of pork and vegetables on holidays are the same as usual and there is no price increase," said Ms. Hien.
A retailer specializing in selling imported grapes for distribution at the market said that during this holiday, the amount of grapes she imports has increased by 20% compared to normal days.
