Ms. Tran Thi Lan Huong, residing in Nguyen Du ward, Ha Tinh city, and members of her volunteer group stood up to call for support of necessities to support people in the flood-hit areas in the North.
Ms. Tran Thi Lan Huong shared: "For the past few days, I have not been able to sleep when looking at the images of people in the Northern provinces suffering from flood damage. My friends and I have called for help, hoping to contribute a little to support the people in the North. The Central region has been suffering from severe floods for a long time, and you have accompanied and helped."
A Northern relief reception point was set up in Ha Tinh city.
Currently, Ms. Lan Huong's volunteer group has called for more than 30 tons of necessities including: Food, life jackets, medicine, clothes... It is expected that tomorrow evening (September 12) they will depart to provide emergency relief to people in the flood-hit areas of the North.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha Trang (Thach Dai commune, Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh) was present at the gathering point early to classify and package medicines to send to people in the flood-hit areas in the North.
The medicines are divided into small bags and packaged to facilitate support for people in the flood-affected areas of the North.
Nguyen Anh Thu (5 years old, residing in Thach Dai ward, Ha Tinh city) donated 5 cartons of milk to people in the flood-affected areas in the North.
The work took place quickly and urgently to provide timely relief to people in the northern flood-hit areas.
A small family brings food supplies to support people in the flood-hit areas of the North.
Drinking water and other necessities were gathered by the volunteer group to be transported to the flood-hit areas in the North.
People braved the rain to bring life jackets to support people in the flood-hit areas of the North.
Ms. Truong Thi Hanh (Thach Linh ward) said: “After learning from the press about the storm and flood situation that is causing heavy damage to people in the northern provinces, I immediately called on relatives and friends to contribute rice, instant noodles, drinking water... to gather at one location to help people in the flooded areas.”
In Ky Phu commune, Ky Anh district (Ha Tinh), Ms. Nguyen Thi Tung has prepared more than 41 kg of dried fish, 25 kg of dried shrimp, 80 boxes of squid with a total value of about 15 million VND. This amount of food will be sent on a volunteer bus departing from the locality to the northern provinces to provide relief to people in flood-hit areas.

The Standing Committee of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee has issued a document agreeing to allocate 2.1 billion VND from the budget to provide emergency support to the northern provinces that suffered heavy damage from storm No. 3.
